What does the software do?
--------------------------
It helps you schedule work crews over the 7-day week, by
working out how many crew members can have any given pair of
days off (Saturday/Sunday, Sunday/Monday, etc.) and still
fill your personnel requirements. It's easily adaptable to
construction, maintenance, assembly lines, telephone
coverage, retail work, field supervision, etc.

Versions
--------
Version 3.0 for DOS requires DOS 2.1 or higher, an MDA or
better monitor, and 400K of free conventional RAM. Version
2.0 for Windows requires Windows 95, or Windows 3.0 or
higher running in Standard or 386 Enhanced mode, and 1MB of
RAM.

Installation
------------
The software as supplied directly by Schedule me! is ready
to use as is. Simply copy the files to your hard disk (you
can even use the software directly from floppy disk if you
prefer!). If you obtained the calculator from Schedule me!
over the Internet, or from someone other than Schedule me!,
the files may be compressed. If so, you will first have to
decompress the files following the vendor's instructions. A
full installation takes a little more than 1MB of disk
space.

Starting the calculator
-----------------------
To start the DOS version, change to the calculator
directory; type daysdos and press Enter. To start the
Windows version using Windows 3.x, open Program Manager's
File menu; choose Run; type the calculator directory and
\daysw20 and press Enter. To start the Windows version
using Windows 95, open the Start menu; choose Run; type the
calculator directory and \daysw20 and press Enter.

Calculating off-day combinations
--------------------------------
Enter the number of runs on each of the 7 days of the week;
select the workweek length and calculation strategy.

Generating reports
------------------
Exit the calculator, and the currently-displayed solution is
saved to disk. Open the reporter, and it reads the saved
solution automatically. In the reporter, select a file name
and report type, set options, and choose Start report.
