*** WANTED!: Synopsis Writer(s) for DS9, Voyager and Sliders LogBooks ***

By popular demand, the LogBook will be covering Fox's SLIDERS series in
addition to the numerous other shows already chronicled here beginning in the
next edition. I am looking for anyone who'd like to take on the task of
chronicling Sliders LogBook-style (you will, of course, get full credit!), as I
simply don't have time to go back and watch that many tapes in a week these
days. I tried to get at least a couple of entries done in time for this
release, but was unable to. If you like Sliders and want to see a LogBook, drop
me a line and let's put YOU in charge of it! 8-]
I have been asked about LogBook files regarding The X-Files, Doctor Who,
Earth 2, seaQuest, Battlestar Galactica and so forth; Doctor Who is already
covered in Jean-Marc Lofficier's comprehensive Programme Guide. I have all of
the shows which are covered here on tape in their entirety, but I can't tape
every sci-fi show out there. If you'd like to write an episode guide in the
LogBook format for one of the "omitted" shows and have it included in future
editions (with full credit, of course!), please get in touch with me (e-mail
addresses and so on are listed below). The Master Index adds, in this quarter's
edition, Space: 1999! Are we going for completeness or what? (Extra special
thanks to Simon Lamont for throwing that Space: 1999 episode guide file across
the pond to me.)
I am still seeking anyone who would like to take over story synopses for Star
Trek: Voyager, Deep Space Nine and/or Sliders; all I ask is that you be able to
e-mail me a synopsis every two weeks when the new fall season starts, as we're
going to look into doing weekly or monthly updates on the LogBook Web site.
Also, if anyone would be interested in covering Fox's new series Space, let me
know. If you'd like to take a crack at this and are willing to take on the
commitment, please drop me a line, give me a call or whatever. eg

* The LogBook and the LogBook Master Index files are now published on a
    quarterly basis.

* Permission is granted to Bob Yewchuk (bob.yewchuk@canrem.com) for use of the
LogBook episode guide entries in his "Star Trek Explorer" program, which is
available from our own web page...
                  http://comp.uark.edu/~cbray/logbook/logbook.html

* The animated Classic Trek series, the various comic books, and the Pocket
Books novels are neither covered nor mentioned herein; it simply would've
taken too long, and I didn't have access to all of the material anyway. The
same goes for original Blake's 7 and Doctor Who "New Adventures" stories,
the Hitchhiker's Guide books and radio serials, and novelizations of Doctor
    Who or Red Dwarf stories.

* The Trek movies, in this guide, are treated like additional episodes of
their respective series. All episodes of all series covered by this
publication are listed by order of broadcast, not order of production.

* The general format of the episode guides in this publication is based on the
"Doctor Who Programme Guide" and the "Doctor Who Terrestrial Index," both by
    Jean-Marc Lofficier.

sources of neat information - as seen in the LogBook Bob Brigade!)
* Joe Siegler, Cindy Hill, David Ewing, Dean Adams, Mark Holtz and Mike Brown
(for unearthing and posting bits of obscure but infinitely helpful and
interesting information - also, Mark's own impressive Star Trek List of Lists
  publication is VERY highly recommended!)
* Robert Parson (for turning me on to Babylon 5 and forking over the wonderful
Classic Trek Concordance; he's now a staff writer on the LogBook 'zine and an
honorary member of the LogBook Bob Brigade! "What a guy!")

parties and never once, in his career, uttered the words "away team")
* ALL of the SysOps in the Ft. Smith area, plus SysOps across the country and
around the world (for not only helping boost this file to international
distribution, but also for endeavoring to further the hobby of modeming)
* all the users who participate in the various Fido sci-fi echoes - from STDSN
to BABYLON5 to WHO and beyond!
* and those who now put up with me on U'NInet, Intelec, ILink and Planet Earth!

Special thanks to Steve Prado for updating the local numbers in the Stateside
list! All SysOps interested may have their systems listed here, provided your
system carries this file most every time an update is released. Distribution
site SysOps interested are reminded/warned that they will still have to Freq or
download the file on their own dime; long-distance "house calls" just proved to
be too impractical for me! Just let me know the specs of your system (see above
list for examples) and I'll be happy to add your board to the list!
