			   About WinCharging

Thank you for trying WinCharging. It's the newest and
best way to manage your credit cards.

WinCharging can do a lot more than simply monitor credit
card expenditures. If you use credit cards to earn car
rebates or to get money back, WinCharging can help you earn
even more. When you've reached the maximum rebate on one
card, WinCharging warns you so you can switch to another
income-producing card. That way your credit cards are
always working for you.

If you're just trying to come to terms with what you spend
on your cards, WinCharging helps you figure out where,
exactly, your money is going. You can categorize your
records to your heart's content. And generating reports is
simplicity itself. It even does Tax Summaries.

Another reason to use WinCharging is that while your credit
cards are safe, you can never be sure about your account
numbers. With mail theft on the rise (especially of account
numbers), it's important to be sure that you're paying only
for what you bought. WinCharging helps you keep track of
each and every one of your charges.

WinCharging holds a Four-Star rating from Ziff-Davis, the
parent company of PC Magazine. It was also named runner-up
in the 1995 Shareware Awards contest. One Ziff-Davis
reviewer called WinCharging "a sophisticated credit card
management system ... for detail-oriented people."

Highlights of this version -

1 Works with all date/currency formats (Roman alphabet)
  2 Windows 95 compatible
  3 Handles high resolutions up to 1280 x 1024
  4 Pay down methodology automated
  5 Enhanced for speed
6 Better protection against deleting needed data

		    SHAREWARE VERSION

This is the "try before you buy" Version of WinCharging,
otherwise known as the Trial Version.

It is a full-featured, fully functional program that you can
test on your computer for three full months. After that
period you can continue to access your existing records, but
you will no longer be able to create new ones.

=========================================================

		 HARDWARE/SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

WinCharging requires Windows 3.1 or 3.11, 4 MB RAM, 2.2 MB
of hard disk space, and a 386DX or better. It is Win95
compatible and runs well in Warp 3.0's full-screen or
seamless Windows boxes.

WinCharging now runs under all Windows code pages.

			  INSTALLATION

To ensure a perfect installation, make sure you have all of
the files listed in CONTENTS.TXT. If any are missing,
contact your shareware distributor immediately.

If you downloaded WinCharging's ZIP file and expanded it on
your hard disk, you can either copy the files to a floppy
to create an installation disk or simply install WinCharging
from your hard drive (which is considerably faster).

To install, start Windows. Open the File Menu and click
Run. Put the installation disk in your a: drive and enter
A:SETUP on Run's command line. If you put the disk in your
b: drive, enter B:SETUP. If you're installing from a
directory on your hard drive, enter the full path plus
SETUP (for example: C:\TEMPDIR\SETUP).

Setup checks to ensure that your system meets certain
requirements. If all is in order, it displays the default
directory for WinCharging's files.

You can put WinCharging's files in any directory you wish,
but as with any other major program, the files should be
placed in their own directory, and that directory should be
right off the root directory (e.g., C:\WINCHARG) for
optimum drive efficiency.

		    GETTING STARTED

WinCharging comes with a special online Help file called
MeFirst!. It's easy to read and comes with loads of
graphics to simplify the setup process. When you start
WinCharging the first time, it asks you if you would like
to see MeFirst!. Reply yes.

With both WinCharging and MeFirst! open, you can simply
<Alt>+<Tab> back and forth, first reading MeFirst! about
how to do something, then switching back to WinCharging
to actually do it.

When you no longer need MeFirst! you can delete it by
selecting a command found on the File Menu.
