I. DESCRIPTION
---------------
'Visual Basic Tip of the Day' is a shareware product. You may use the software
on a trial basis for a reasonable amount of time, after which time you should
register the product if you find it useful. To register this software, please
  send $4.95 to:
	Visual Advantage, Inc.
	P.O. Box 39415
	Louisville, KY 40233-9415

'Visual Basic Tip of the Day' is intended to present a different tip each day
when you launch Visual Basic. Thus, instead of launching VB, launch 'Tip of
the Day.' 'Tip' will in turn launch VB. Use the 'VB Dir' button to change the
  location of your VB directory.

'Tip of the Day' is not intended to be a tutorial, but rather to bring your
attention to the existence of some commands, tips, tricks, and reference sources
that you may not be familiar with. If you have used VB before, you will undoubtedly
be familiar with some (or many) of the items.

There are over 250 tips split into 3 different experience levels. Experiment and
find a level suitable to your experience. If you are an experienced VB programmer
and do not find this program useful, feel free to pass it on to a friend or coworker.

II. FILES
---------
There are a total of six files needed to run "Visual Basic Tip of the Day".
	1) TIP.EXE
	2) NOV.INI
	3) INT.INI
	4) ADV.INI
	5) THREED.VBX
	6) VBRUN300.DLL

  ---------------------
The following 4 files should be placed in a new directory, e.g. "C:\TIPS":
	TIP.EXE, NOV.INI, INT.INI, and ADV.INI
  ---------------------
Follow the following steps to copy the THREED.VBX file:
If you DO have a "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM" directory, and THREED.VBX does not exist in that directory then copy THREED.VBX to "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM"

If you DO NOT have a "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM" directory, then check to see if THREED.VBX exists in the "C:\WINDOWS" directory. If it does not exist, then copy THREED.VBX to "C:\WINDOWS"
  ---------------------
Follow the same steps for VBRUN300.DLL as given above for THREED.VBX.

III. RUNNING THE PROGRAM
------------------------
To run 'Visual Basic Tip of the Day', add the TIP.EXE program as a new item in your 'Visual Basic' program group. Then, instead of launching Visual Basic each day, run 'VB Tip of the Day'. 'Tip of the Day' will automatically launch Visual Basic.

NOTE: If Visual Basic is not installed in the "C:\VB" directory on your machine, you will have to click on the 'VB Dir' button on the 'Tip of the Day' main screen to tell 'Tip' where VB is installed on your machine.
