                                   Overview

FRMDSK (FromDisk) is a memory resident program that allows you to
copy lines from a text file to a DOS text program. You will see
the current line displayed in a preview window at the top of the
screen along with its length in characters, the file it is from,
and its position in that file. This window will give you options
including edit, previous line and next line. Select an option by
pressing its capitalized and highlighted letter. Pressing
<Enter> or Y (for Yes) sends the current line to your program.

To use FromDisk, copy the files in FRMDSK.ZIP to a single
directory. (For more details, see the installation instructions
that are part of VENDINFO.DIZ.) Type FRMDSK and press <Enter>.
When you wish to send text to a DOS text program, press <Ctrl>-
<Right shift>-F (hold down the first two keys, tap F, and then
release all three keys.) Then select the text file containing
the lines you wish to send. If you include a wild-card character
('*' or '?'), you will be presented with a list of files. Pick
one or press <Esc> and type in another file name. Once, you have
selected a file, you will be presented with the preview window
mentioned above. You may move to the next or previous line and
send either the current one or all the remaining lines. Press
<Scroll Lock> if you change your mind about sending the rest of
       the file.

FRMDSK is a freely-distributable $5 shareware program by
FileJockey Software, which can be reached by e-mail (71573.1023
@compuserve.com) or postal mail (289 S. Robertson Blvd., Suite

FDINIT.EXE This program is called by FRMDSK (or FDSMALL)
to read the command line. It is separate
from FRMDSK so that FRMDSK's permanent memory
                           needs are smaller.

FDSMALL.EXE A smaller version of FRMDSK. It requires a
valid file name on the command line.

       VENDINFO.DIZ Contains vendor-distribution and
                           registration-benefits information in a
computer-readable format. It also has FRMDSK
                           installation instructions, much of
README.TXT, and a copy of the license
agreement. The first part of VENDINFO.DIZ is
human readable, while the second part
requires a program such as the free VENDVIEW.
On CompuServe, GO ZENITH for this viewer as
                           file VNDVUE.ZIP in Library 6.

To print this file, another documentation file, or the
       registration form, follow this example:

                             COPY README.TXT > PRN

All of the documentation files are formatted for printing on any

the printer to advance to the next page.) To see this file on
the screen, use an editor or enter:
