date first installed. To continue using Network*Messenger beyond that time
you will have to purchase the full retail version to continue using
Network*Messenger.

Documentation:

Complete user-documentation for Network*Messenger is provided in the help file
installed with Network*Messenger. Additional information pertaining to
special installations or setting administrative privileges is included in this file.

Over the Network Installation:

After an initial installation using the SETUP program provided, you may copy
the following files to an appropriate directory on each workstation:

	NMSGR.EXE
	NMSGR.DLL
	NMSGR.HLP
VBRUN300.DLL (normally installed in the Windows\System directory)

Network*Messenger will create NMSGR.INI, containing default settings, in the PC's
\WINDOWS directory when first run. If you are performing an over-the-network
installation, we recommend that you do not copy this file to each machine. Instead,
allow Network*Messenger to create this file on each machine.

Administrative Privileges, Special INI Settings:

This documents the Administrative Privilege functions of Network Messenger.
Enabling these features is not documented in the standard documentation
or Help file.

The following entries can be manually added to NMSGR.INI, located in
the user's Windows directory:

Admin=1	Add this entry to the [System] section of NMSGR.INI to enable
Administrative message functions. When enabled, Network*Messenger
can send global messages to all machine on all workgroups in your
network. The Send dialog will also display the Admin Popup option,
which forces urgent messages to popup, regardless of each user's
	Popup on Receipt setting.

Icon=1	Use this option to hide Network*Mesenger's icon on the computer's
desktop when running. When this setting is used, all incoming
messages will force Network*Messenger to pop up. Some administrators
will find this feature useful to prevent users from closing
	Network*Messenger.

NoClose=1	Add this entry to the [System] section of NMSGR.INI to
prevent users from closing Network*Messenger. When enabled,
Network*Messenger will be minimized when Close or Exit is
selected. The application can be closed from the task list
	if required.

NoUserNameResolution=1 Network*Messenger is capable of sending messages
by Computer Name or User Name. If the target computer is
running Windows NT 3.50 or later, the functions which
enable this name resolution will fail. Normally,
Network*Messenger will retry the message using a different
function, but there will be a short delay.

If the majority of your computers are running Windows NT,
or if you don't require the ability to send messages by
User Name, you can avoid this delay by adding this entry to
the [System] section of NMSGR.INI. You will only be able
to address messages by Computer Name.
