" WHATS ON TV TONIGHT " Version 1.0
Requires "Windows" (r) 3.1 or better

DO NOT EDIT OR REMOVE THIS TEXT.

This program is made to be easy to use. And we mean
E A S Y. If you know basic windows you can use this program
immediately. We are sick of hard to use programs that you
only try to use once but don't really use because they
are just too much T-R-O-U-B-L-E. We like most, are tired
of 500 page usage manuals that never get read (or understood
if read!).

Rather than use a complicated data base to enter the items,
this program uses an easy to understand text function which
allows you to enter information in any style or format
you wish. You are not stuck with how someone else thinks
your input should look or how much is required etc. The amount
of input on each item is also not limited by a data base entry
field type design.

We feel this is the simplest way to keep track of this
type of information and this program can be used by
children with just a few minutes of instruction. If they
can learn a few simple selections with the mouse, and they
can type, they can use this program!

A lot of people have the computer terminal in the same room as the
television set (a den etc.). To get the most out of this program,
one good idea is to go to the terminal when you see a program
you are interested in promo'd on the television, then enter
it at that time with the required information for your uses.
This gives you something to do during commercials as well.
It also helps you remember. How many times have you forgotten
to watch a great show or movie just to be told how great it
was the next day by your co-workers or friends? NOW you can
be the viewing guru.

It is important that some files need to be copied into
the "What's on television" directory since it needs
these files to function. This should be done by the program.
If the program works and brings up text when you select a button,
don't worry about it. Things are workin fine, ya hear!

These files are:

Notebook.exe
Clock.exe

To use, move the mouse pointer arrow to the desired button and simply
click on the left button to select. Depending on your system, you may
need to click in a pattern (such as two fast, then one more click). Use
the LEFT mouse button to click and select. There is an indicator which
appears on the main menu near the (c) message. This indicator is a
green light and lets you know that the click has been accepted.

Once you are in the "text" file, you can add any notes as you wish
and save them. You can also delete old notes etc.

Input is up to you, it can be as little as a time and channel, or it
can be as much as you want including actors, date of film, etc. (if
you want to keep a library). Just think of the types of information
that interests you most. It could be something like a particular actor,
a particular movie production company, or whether or not the movie
or program is in black and white or color, or colorized (oh no!).

Use your imagination! Some examples are given to guide you if needed.
These can be deleted since they are phoney programs.

To print items so you can pass them out to family or friends, or place
next to your favorite easy chair, simply select print from the
"File" selection which is displayed along with the text you have
entered in a particular category. The printing is the same as with
anything else printed from "windows" (tm)

To delete, simply choose "Edit" drag the mouse across the section you
want to delete (it will be outlined) then select "cut". The item will
disappear. If you make a mistake, choose paste and it will be put
back. If you make any changes don't forget to "SAVE" (don't use
Save As, you really don't need it and it just wastes time with
this function). You can even use this function to make multiple
listings of particular movie in many categories without having to
retype the whole thing (using the "paste". But don't forget NOT TO
SAVE when changing to another file to paste the item because if you
do save at that point, you will delete the original listing.)

Thanks and enjoy.
