Action Graphics is an amusement program based on the old Erector Set
concept of building things (on your screen) and making them move. It is
also quite useful as a simple and ease to use CAD (Computer Aided
Design) program. The mouse is used to select any of several graphic
objects (circle, ellipse, line, triangles, rectangles, gear, etc.) or
action icons which include Move, Resize, Pulsate, Rotate, Attach, Set
Speed, Equate, Align, Duplicate, Scale, Undo, and several others. The
ability to attach objects to each other, and have the actions affect the
entire group, makes this a unique, enjoyable program every computer
  enthusiast will want to try.

Although the program is quite easy to use - you just click on the icon
you want - additional help text about each object and action is
available online while running the program. The help text also
discusses the expanded actions available when you double click on the
icons. To start, read the first page of the help text. Then, after
playing with the program for awhile, read about each object and action
to learn about their particular details to become proficient in using
  Action Graphics.

The latest release of Action Graphics and notification of future
       releases.

The diamond, rhombus, and trapezoid objects plus any other objects
       implemented since the initial release.

Data files containing both forms of the alphabet and numbers are
provided in the registered version. These forms are seen in the
"Action Graphics" and "Play With Me" demonstration displays.

Additional data files showing construction techniques are included
       with the registered version.

A registered version of this product does not contain the

  INSTALLATION AND RUNNING INSTRUCTIONS
Depending on the form in which you received this product, portions of
  these instructions may not apply.

Make a directory on your hard disk using the DOS mkdir command. Use the
DOS copy command to copy the diskette to the directory. Change to the
newly created directory and enter "action" to run the program. Example:

  mkdir c:\action
  copy a:*.* \action
  cd \action
  action

The program begins with a one minute repeating demo that can be
terminated by clicking a mouse button. Click the mouse button again to
start the program. Click on the 'More' box and then the 'Help' box for
additional instructions. If you wish to creat your own demonstration,
read the help text for the 'Save' action.

Incompatable mouse driver software is indicated when the demo figures
display without a problem but nothing happens or the program hangs up
when you click a mouse button. This problem can be resolved by using
the 100% Microsoft compatable mouse driver which is available in the
\action directory. To activate the Microsoft compatable driver add
this device=c:\action\mouse.sys statement to your config.sys FILE.
Remove the old mouse driver statement from your CONFIG.SYS file or more
likely from your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. Be sure to note what the old
statment was in the rare case the Microsoft compatable driver does not
work with your mouse. If you need help with this, feel free to give me
  a call at (801) 272-6238.
