VERY SIMPLE EXAMPLE OF TRIGGERING A WAV FROM CAKEWALK PRO for WIN (CPW 3.0)
===========================================================================
Requires MPC compatible sound card

*** NO MQX or SMPTE hookup is needed ***

You'll find :

EXBLUE.WRK (for CakeWalk CPW 3.0) and

EXBLUE.MID (for other sequencers) as well as

G13MONO.WAV (a G13 chord recorded at 11.05 Khz MONO)
in this ZIP file.

For CakeWalk :
- Load EXBLUE.WRK
- Call up the EVENT editor on the GUITAR track.
- Double click where it says NOTE
- Change to NOTE to WAVE
- Check LOAD from FILE
- Select the file EXBLUE.WAV

For other sequencers like Power Tracks :

Read the manual.

In order to save your time and money, this is a very short and repetive
example. The emphasis here is on showing how the mechanism works,
not on producing actual music. The latter is presumed to be *your* job.

I hope this demonstrates how easy this concept is. Of course, it's very
limited, since :
- You can only play a single sample at once
- The WAV must be relatively short
- Some systems will have trouble loading the WAV in time to play it.

OTH, the advantages of this technique is it requires no other software or SMPTE hardware.
You can record a WAV file with the Windows recorder.

For real flexibility, a system like SAW works well with CakeWalk, allowing actual audio tracks
to be synced up to the MIDI basics.
