The Craps Engine Beta Version 2.1

Thank you for trying The Craps Engine Beta Version 2.1! If you are a serious
Craps player, you should find this a valuable tool for trying out various
betting schemes. If you are a beginner, read the help file carefully -
you may wish to put this program aside for a while until you understand
the game of Craps a little better.

--------------------------------

System requirements:

An IBM Compatible PC-386 or better(The faster the machine, the
   faster the dice roll!)

Microsoft Windows 3.1 or better (it might work with 3.0,
   but I doubt it)

   A mouse

A VGA or greater resolution monitor. Note: at VGA (640 X 480)
resolution, The program takes up the whole screen, but it
   still works.

--------------------------------

The contents of this zip file should include:

CR_ENGIN.EXE The program executable
CR_ENGIN.HLP The associated help file
CRENGINE.INI INI file keeps track of window placement
CRSERNUM.TXT The serial number/registration number text file
CRREGFRM.TXT A text copy of the registration form
BRKDOWN.WAV The opening wav (sound) file
GUITBLUS.WAV The closing wav (sound) file
CMDIALOG.VBX
THREED.VBX Visual Basic Control files (Should go in your
               WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory or equivalent)
README.TXT This file

(I don't think that the wav files will play without a sound card,
but they are only a novelty anyway...)

You will also need a copy of VBRUN300.DLL, which should go in either your
WINDOWS or WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory. (File not included here; you may
already have it, or it can be downloaded from most bulletin board systems
for free.)

--------------------------------

If anything is missing, or if you have any problems installing, you
should contact the program author for a valid copy.

Version Information

1.0 Initial Release 3/19/95

1.1 Fixed a minor bug that miscalculated player's
amount In Hand after a rolling a seven

1.2 (Beta)	Fixed problems with Don't bets. Program now remembers
where windows were last time (CRENGINE.INI). Replaced
"Roll at max this series" stat with "Max Drawdown".
Program will now only stop betting automatically when
line bet can't be covered, as opposed to odds.
"EV/Wager" stat now takes pocket dips into account.
Replaced closing wav file. (Sorry, WB)

1.3 (Beta)	Fixed another problem with Don't bets; program was not
making proper Don't Come wagers. Fixed bug when exiting
		program while minimized.

2.0 (Beta)	Separated all bets, so that any combination of Pass,
Don't Pass, Come, Don't Come, Field, Place, Don't Place,
Buy and Lay bets can be made. Different odds for each
type of line bet now permitted. Lowered the number of
parameter entries for each type of bet to 20. Sound
		can now be turned off.

2.1 (Beta)	Fixed problem where handle for Place/Don't Place/Buy/Lay bets
miscalculated, and commissions on Buy and Lay bets were taken
		for every roll.
---------------------------------
Future revisions will (hopefully) include realtime graphs of pocket/bankroll,
along with other statistics.

Enjoy! (I wanted to say "Happy crapping", but that's a little much...)
