Purpose: Snatch-it allows users a memory resident utility to "snatch",
if you will, a line of text (80 columns long) from a screen and append
it to the file of your choice. This is for DOS-based screens only.

Incentive: I wrote Snatch-it because there are MANY times that, while
online with a bulletin board, I wanted to dump a filename or line of
information to the end of an existing file of names. I then could go
back and view the names (lines) I had saved and do with them what I
would. Some examples of use for Snatch-it are:

- You are "browsing" a BBS file listing with Vern Buerg's "LIST" program
and looking for files that you want to download. You snatch the lines
that interest you to a file called "GET-THESE.TXT". Afterwards, you
edit the file and printout the list for a handy - online reference for
  downloading when you connect.

- You run a BBS. While online with another BBS you "snatch" file
descriptions of the files you download to use as your own.

- You are cataloging your files. Snatching the names of the ones you
need to delete since the are duplicates...

- You are editing a large document. You snatch lines in succession that
you want to use to build a quick reference or index...

- You are editing a BBS list to get the numbers you want to add to your
  list...

- And the list goes on.

Usage: To use Snatch-it, simply type "SNATCHIT" from DOS (or whatever
you named it to... sometimes it's best to rename it for ease of
loading). When you want it to go into action, hit the Hot-Key
combination "ALT =". That's HOLD DOWN THE ALT KEY AND HIT THE EQUALS
SIGN. At present there is not way other than a TSR flusher to unload
Snatch-it from memory. An example of this would be the ShareWare program
"FLUSH.ZIP" found on many BBS's. It contains two important files
"FLMK.COM" (flush marker) and "FLUSH.COM" (flusher). If you don't use a
TSR flusher, you can reboot and the Snatch-it program will be erase from
memory (along with anything else in memory).

When Snatch-it loads, you will be returned to the DOS prompt. From this
point on, striking the ALT= combination will bring up a highlighted
line. This line can be moved up and down with the cursor keys. When
satisfied that the line it is resting on is the one you want, hit RETURN
(ENTER) and a menu with "SNATCH FILENAME ABORT" will pop-up. At the top
of the menu will be displayed the filename of the file that Snatch-it
will be appending to. SNATCH sends the line to the end of that file.
FILENAME allows you to choose another filename. ABORT puts you back at
the highlighted cursor bar. At any time while at the cursor bar, you may
hit ESCAPE to exit Snatch-it. You may scroll through the SNATCH FILENAME
ABORT menu with the cursor keys. Hitting RETURN (ENTER) chooses on of
the three selections. Simple as that.
