VOC Utilities [646SBI] 646SBI contains 646 SBI instrument files needed to convert Ad Lib ROL files to Sound Blaster CMF files. [ADJVOX] AdjVox 1.0 (Winsor, Daniel; $0) adjusts the playback speed of VOC files. [CDA] Compressed Digital Audio (Krenek, Steve; $18) can compress VOC files by a ratio of 4:1 using ADPCM. It can also decompress the compressed files. [DIGPAK] DigPak (The Audio Solution; $40-70) is a set of drivers that lets you play digitized sounds on any sound board, as well as the PC's speaker. It offers enhanced support for many games, such as Ultimate Baseball, Chessmaster 3000 and others. [DPLAYVO] DPlayVoc 1.1 (Montelo Consulting; $10) plays VOC files on the Disney Sound Source. [BLABBER] Blaster Blabber (Maddox, Gary; $0) is a text file reader for the Sound Blaster and the Smooth Talker speech synthesizer. [BMASTER5] Blaster Master 5.95 (Maddox, Gary; $30) is a tool kit for working with raw, uncompressed Sound Blaster VOC files. You can blend two files into a single sample; reverse playback and play back a file at approximately half speed. It will also convert a VOC file into a self-playing EXE file. It also features digital delay, volume control, hi-pass/lo-pass filter, sound editing, stereo panning, support for Windows .WAV format, a sound graph, FFT-based graphic equalizer, an Auto-Desk Animator/VOC file player for multi-media presentations, a recording module, support for Sound Blaster Pro and Thunder Board, support for Amiga IFF samples, and much more. Requires a 286 or better. [IFF2VOC] IFF2VOC 1.0 (Bachus, Kevin S.; $0) converts Amiga sound files to SoundBlaster format. [PLAYER] Player 1.1 (Gary S. Tessler; $19) plays WAV and VOC files on a Sound Blaster compatible card. Requires SB's CT-VOICE.DRV. [SFXBLAST] SoundFX-Blast (Silicon Shack, Ltd.; $45) is a powerful, graphical waveform sound editor for the Sound Blaster card. Features include the ability to modify and create sounds; mixing and oversampling; special effects such as echo, filter, and waveform reversal; infinite zoom and vertical display scale control; built-in sound generators with wide frequency range; adjustable pitch control; mouse support; and a sound level meter. Requires 720k disk or better, 512k, and a Sound Blaster compatible card. [SILLYST] Silly String 1.11 (Sound Applications; $5) is a graphical sound show. It translates sounds from the microphone on your Sound Blaster to a graphics display. [SNRC21] Sonarc 2.1e (Speech Compression, reg. fee: $20) compresses and decompresses audio files which are in WAV, VOC or even raw format. [SPUTTER] Sputter (Cousins, Adrienne; $25) is a set of programs that allow you to manage and play back many different types of digitized sound files on a variety of different devices. All conversions are handled automatically, regardless of the type of device used to create the sound file. It will also play ROL files on Ad Lib compatible devices and CMF files on the Sound Blaster. Sputter allows you to attach digitized sound files to events on your PC such as Program Execution, File access, Disk access, Alarm clock settings and replacing the original beep sound. Support is provided for the PC internal speaker, Speech Thing, Voice Master, Sound Master, Sound Blaster, AdLib Music Card, Disney Sound Source and any other Digital to Analog Converter. Also included is a complete text-to-speech package that provides interchangeable voice files and complete user control over pronunciation and inflection. This is a very comprehensive sound package, and includes enhanced support for DESQview. A hard disk or high density floppy is required. [SUN2VOC] Sun2Voc 1.0 (Bachus, Kevin S.; $?) converts files from Sun audio (.au) file format to Sound Blaster-compatible VOC format without the need for any additional modifications to the file. [VBLAST20] Voice Blaster For DOS 2.0 (Millennium Software Products; $0) plays any combination of CMF and VOC files from multiple drives and directories. Features include the ability to record VOC files with unlimited length, select input channels and filters on SB Pro and SB 16, loop mode, random play mode options, SB Pro Volume Controls, and mouse support. [VOCTHING] VOC Thing 1.2 (Douglas, Melvin; $9) lets you record and play digitized .VOC files on a Sound Blaster compatible card. You can create a playlist of up to 1000 files, save multiple sessions to disk, control the sample rate, record up to 30 seconds, play .VOC files from a compressed .ZIP file, and much more. Several sample sound files are included. [WAVE_BS] Wave-BS ("Brain Synchronization") creates user-specified VOC files to play on a sound card which promise to synchronize your brain wave patterns into any desired state. [WURL] Wurlitzer Jukebox Player (JP Photo Innovations; $25) is a VOC file player. It allows you to enter a description for each file name.
