===================== 1. What's New  ====================

1. NFL Calendar prints a plain, 12-month calendar with
NFL game days marked (suitable for any location).

2. NFL Calendar includes a print-preview function --
adjust the layout and preview documents before printing.

3. Margins, orientation, font, etc. can be set (and
saved) foreach printed document (calendar, 1-column,
2-column and 3-column schedules).

4. NFL Calendar displays and prints the Monday-night
schedule as well as the entire NFL schedule and
individual team schedules.

5. The calendar and schedule are displayed in different
windows. For example, display the schedule in a large
window in the center of the screen and the calendar in a
small window tucked into the corner of the screen.

6. Displaying and printing have been uncoupled. For
example, the font used to display a schedule can be
different from the font used to print a schedule.

7. The schedule file and on-line documentation have been
updated for the 1998-99 season.

8. Two small bugs related to keyboard accelerators have
been fixed.

============== 2. Installing NFL Calendar ==============

The following information pertains ONLY to installing NFL
Calendar as a separate program. If you received NFL
Calendar as part of the NFL Forecaster for Windows 95/98
package, see the file "README.TXT" in the Forecaster
package or read the topic "Installing/Uninstalling NFL
Forecaster for Windows" in the NFL Forecaster on-line
help.

For the fastest and easiest installation of NFL Calendar,
determine which of the following situations (A, B, C)
resembles yours and follow the instructions. Also read
section D ("Notes").

-- A. If no version of NFL Calendar is currently
installed on your computer system, simply run NFL
Calendar for Windows 95/98's setup program ("setup.exe").

-- B. If a version of NFL Calendar for Windows 95/98 is
currently installed on your computer system, run the
setup program ("setup.exe"). When the setup program asks
for the directory (folder) to install NFL Calendar into,
be sure it's the same directory the current version is
in. Then the setup program will replace the old version
with the new version.

-- C. If a version of NFL Calendar for Windows 95 (not
95/98) is currently installed on your computer system,
you ***MUST*** uninstall it before installing NFL
Calendar for Windows 95/98. To uninstall it do the
following:
   1. Click the "Start" button.
   2. Select "Settings" and then "Control Panel".
   3. Select "Add/Remove Programs".
   4. From the list select "NFL Calendar"
   5. Press the "Add/Remove" button.
After NFL Calendar for Windows 95 is uninstalled, run NFL
Calendar for Windows 95/98's setup program ("setup.exe").

If you have a shortcut installed on your desktop for NFL
Calendar for Windows 95, delete it and install a new
shortcut. (The old one will point to a file no longer on
your hard disk.)

---E. Installation Notes:
NFL Calendar's setup program installs files only in the
NFL Calendar directory (the default directory is Program
Files\Cotton\NFL), except for a single file, UNINST.EXE,
which is placed in the Windows directory. UNINST.EXE is
used to uninstall NFL Calendar (see below) and other
companies' programs and should not be deleted from your
disk. The setup program does not make any changes to
your config.sys or autoexec.bat files.

A minimum of three files must always be in the NFL
Calendar directory in order to run NFL Calendar:
   NFLCal.exe -- Executable program file
   schedule.nfl -- NFL schedule
   names.nfl -- Team names

Other files placed in the NFL Calendar directory:
   NFLCal.hlp -- On-line help file
   NFLCal.cnt -- On-line table of contents
   README.TXT -- Information file
   ORDER.TXT -- Information file
   PRODUCTS.TXT -- Information file
   vendinfo.diz -- Information file
   file_id.diz -- Identification file
DEISLx.ISU -- Log file used for uninstalling

=============== 3. Uninstalling NFL Calendar ============

The uninstall program removes NFL Calendar. It removes
all files and Registry entries that were installed by the
installation program (except for the uninstallation
program itself; see above). It does not (cannot) remove
files that were placed in the NFL Calendar directory
after installation.

To uninstall NFL Calendar do the following:
   1. Click the "Start" button.
   2. Select "Settings" and then "Control Panel".
   3. Select "Add/Remove Programs".
   4. From the list select "NFL Calendar".
   5. Press the "Add/Remove" button.

NOTE: Two files -- "schedule.nfl" and "names.nfl" -- are
used by NFL Calendar and NFL Forecaster (which is located
in the same directory as NFL Calendar if you have it
installed on your computer). Both programs share these
two files. If (1) you obtained NFL Calendar as a
separate program and installed it and later obtained
NFL Forecaster and installed it (it also installs NFL
Calendar) or (2) you obtained and installed NFL
Forecaster (which also installs NFL Calendar) and later
obtained and installed NFL Calendar as a separate
program, then the Control Panel will list both NFL
Calendar and NFL Forecaster as uninstallable programs.
The uninstall program for NFL Calendar will remove only
NFL Calendar. The uninstall program for NFL Forecaster
will remove Forecaster and NFL Calendar. If you want to
uninstall NFL Calendar but not NFL Forecaster and your
situation is either (1) or (2) above (it's highly
unlikely that you would have obtained and installed each
program separately, but it is possible), then you should
rename "schedule.nfl" and "names.nfl" (to something like
"schedule.tmp" and "names.tmp") before you uninstall NFL
Calendar. After NFL Calendar has been uninstalled, you
should rename the schedule file and names file back to
"schedule.nfl" and "names.nfl". You must do this because
NFL Calendar's uninstall program will remove
"schedule.nfl" and "names.nfl"; without these two files
NFL Forecaster will not function properly.

for example).
