                        *PROMISED STRENGTH*
                        by Carrie Anderson

***********************************************************************
Scripture- Isaiah 40:29-31 "He gives power to the weak, and to those
who have no might He increases strength. Even the youth shall faint
and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait
on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings
like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not
faint."

Have you ever just felt like throwing your hands up and calling it
quits? Were you feeling so weary and weakened from the onstant battles
and struggles in life, that you begin to wonder, "What's the point of
trying anymore if nothing is ever going to change?"

Well, you're not alone, we all experience times in our lives where we
feel weak or too weary to go on. Isaiah tells us that God gives
strength to those who are weak, because His power and strength never
weaken. We can call on Him for help in our hour of need. His strength
is our source of strength and we can exchange our strength for His.
In that exchange we can become renewed.

Waiting on the Lord means trusting Him and expecting that His promise of
strength will help us rise above life's challenges and difficulties.

So when you feel like all of life is crushing you and you cannot go
another step, remember you can call upon the Lord to renew your
strength. He will enable you to continue to walk and not faint.
