INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

The setup program provided by PageMaster/ev installs all the 
necessary components.  A program group will also be created from 
which you can launch the application.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

For extensive help on any of the dialog boxes presented by the 
Setup program during installation, press the F1 key or choose the 
Help button in the dialog box.

To run Setup for installation of PageMaster/ev  

1.  If Windows NT is not already running, follow the procedure for 
    starting Windows NT.  
2.  From the File Menu in the Program Manager, choose Run.  In 
    the Command Line box, type the drive letter and path to the 
    location of the PageMaster/md files, followed by \SETUP.  For 
    example, "G:\DOWNLOADS\SETUP".
3.  Choose the OK button or press ENTER.

THE INSTALLATION PROCESS

There are four steps to the installation process.  The Setup 
program does the following:

1. Asks you where to install PageMaster/ev.  Its default location is
   the C:\PageMasterEV directory.  If this directory doesn't exist, 
   Setup will create it for you.
2. Installs the PageMaster/ev program files.
3. Creates a Program Group entitled "PageMaster/ev" and places it in
   the Program Manager window.
4. Notifies you that setup is complete.


PURCHASING THE SOFTWARE

PageMaster/ev is priced according to the number of computers it can monitor.
There is no limit on the number of pagers to which it can send event
messages.

VERSION CHANGES

The following changes were made from previous versions of the
software:

o Added a groups manager, accessible from the Groups menu item
  on the Configure menu.

o Event pages to alphanumeric pagers sharing a common access phone
  number are now sent in a single phone call.

o Failed pages are now stored in a page log entitled "ErrorLog.txt".

o Added support for numeric pagers that utilize a PIN number.

o Added the ability to modify the touch-tone character used to display a
  dash on the display for a numeric pager.

o Added the ability to edit the information for multiple pagers
  simultaneously (see the Help button on the Configure Pagers dialog box).

o Added the ability to delete multiple pagers (see the Help button on the
  Configure Pagers dialog box).
