1) Introduction

INI View is utility that gives you the ability to view, edit, back up
and restore, compare, search, and print the INI files on your computer. INI
Files are Windows initialization files used by Windows programs to store
configuration settings and other information.

INI files are broken down into different sections, with each section
having its subordinate items, and each item having an entry for the item.
Below is an example of the layout of an INI file.

[Section]
Item=Entry
Item=Entry

[Section]
Item=Entry
Item=Entry
Item=Entry
Item=Entry
Item=Entry

INI View allows you to view and edit the file one section at a time, making
it easyer to find particular Section, and to find out what the Entry is
for a particular Item.

INI View is shareware. The registration cost is $10.00. You can send your
payment to:

AT YOUR OWN RISK.

2) Set Up

INI View requires VBRUN300.DLL to run. VBRUN300.DLL can be found in many
forums on CompuServe, or on many other BBS as VRUN3.ZIP. Below is a list
of known loactions on CompuServe were it can be found.

 	PC\CONTACT forum, Utilities\Misc library section
	VBPJFO forum, General library section

Once you have VBRUN300.DLL copy it to your Windows\System directory.

To install INI View on your computer follow these steps:

	1) Create a new directory on your PCs hard drive (C:\INIVIEW).

	2) Unpack the zip file into this new directory.

	3) From the File Manager double click on INIVIEW.EXE.

	4) Pressing F1 while INI View is running will bring up
	   INI View's Help screen.

3) Operation

INI View's main window has three list boxes down the right side. The top
list box displays the INI Files found in the current directory. The middle
list box displays the Sections found in the currently selected file. The
bottom list box displays the Items/Entries found in the currently
selected Section.

Click once on any file in the top list box and the Sections for that file
will be displayed in the middle list box.

Click once on any Section in the middle box and the Items and Entries
of that Section are displayed in the bottom list box.

To the left of the list boxes are a series of buttons for manipulating
the INI files. Discriptions of these buttons are displayed in the status
bar at the bottom of INI View's main window when when a file is selected and
you rest the mouse pointer over the button, or you can find discriptions
in the help file. Pressing F1 at any time will bring up INI View's
help file.

Any comments about INI View can be sent to me through CompuServe at
