    utilities factoring primes strings batch-files file-copy

[Overview]

These utility programs are self-documenting. That is, at the DOS prompt,
type the program name followed by /? and the program will display text
explaining its usage. However, we give a quick overview here:

  factor - factors integers and finds prime numbers (32-bit ints).

  getword - useful in batch files, especially those that make and
            execute other batch files.

  page - use |page instead of |more for better scrolling control.

  strings - finds strings in binary files, and prints them; useful
            to see version/copyright date info, error messages, etc.

  recent - copies selected files to another drive/directory, but only
            new replaces old, or existing to non-existing.

  tab     - converts tabs to spaces and vice versa, changes indentation;
            but doesn't mess up strings in a Pascal program. Handy for
            adapting someone else's tab/indent style to your own.
