The following information highlights some of the new features and 
improvements in this release.  Please refer to the file README.TXT for 
information on installing X-Menu.


New Features

  - Five menu styles to choose from

  - A virtual rewrite of the v1.0 disk utility

  - Added extended style information.
  - Added parent task, owner, and module handle information
  - Added change icon support in the Modify Window dialog

* Run Dialog
  - Added Shell and OLE support

* User's Guide
  - Updated for version 1.1 (now 28 pages in length)
 

New Utilities:

  - Lock any application on the desktop
  - Individual passwords
  - Three levels of security

* Capture Region Utility
  - Take a snapshot of any portion of the desktop to use in your
    favorite graphics application

* Restart Windows Utility


X-MENU.INI format
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

* The X-MENU.INI format has changed for version 1.1.  Version 1.0 INI files 
  are automatically converted to v1.1 format when X-Menu is started.


Problems Corrected
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

* The X-Menu task is no longer listed in the Switch-To sub-menu (fix based on
  the "you're never far from where you are" principle).
* User Program run time arguments are no longer are truncated using the 
  Properties dialog.
* The Disk utility now correctly reads drives compressed by Stacker.
* The System utility now correctly reports Windows 3.11 and Windows for 
  Workgroups version information.
* Problems coexisting with After Dark screen savers have been corrected.
* The User Program and Exclude Program list boxes now maintain their 
  selection index after Add, drop files, and Properties operations.
