Zeus for Windows Editor
=======================

Installation Procedure
----------------------

To install Zeus copy the following steps:

1) Create a directory a suitable directory for Zeus for example c:\zeus

2) Unzip the contents of ZEUSA001.ZIP into the directory created

3) Add the directory to the PATH statement in your autoexec.bat file

4) Reboot your PC and start windows

5) IMPORTANT: Zeus requires the Microsoft Windows CTL3DV2.DLL as supplied
   with Windows. This DLL must be located in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory
   for Zeus to work. If you already have this DLL delete the CTL3DV2.DLL
   from the Zeus directory, else move the CTL3DV2.DLL to the correct
   Windows directory.

To run the program create a program icon or run the file from the
file manager.

Setting Up for Compiler Support
-------------------------------

1) Make sure that the compiler you are using has it's bin directory in
    the PATH.

2) Make sure that if your compiler uses environment variable to locate
    include file, the environment variables have been setup correctly.

3) Make sure the command line that you enter is less than the DOS command
    line limit

4) To minimise the length of the command line use response files where
    applicable (see your compiler documentation for more details).

Autobackup Feature
------------------

This Alpha version has an autobackup feature. The feature can be enabled
and disabled using the editor setup menu item. The time between backup
intervals is controlled by the following INI file setting.

BackupInterval=4

Don't use Zeus to change this setting as Zeus updates the INI on exit
and all your changes to the INI will be ignored.
