(1) INTRODUCTION

Systematic Finance Applications is an integrated budgeting and 
reporting package written in Microsoft Excel.  It is designed to
assist with:

	Setting Overall Budget/Corporate Objectives
	Budget Preparation
	Subsequent Monitoring and Control

It produces concise and detailed management reports for you
to pinpoint exactly all budget variances.  There are over sixteen
different schedules and in total about 35 pages to cover all
aspects of budget preparation and monitoring through monthly
accounts, comparison reports against budget and the previous year
and looking ahead, a year end forecast and tax planning.

This 'Shareware' version contains all options for evaluation purposes
and is licenced for 14 days from installation.

You may make as many copies of this disk as you wish and pass it on
to others, provided that you make no charge for the software.

We would encourage you to register in order to receive the latest
version of Systematic Finance Applications.  Registration costs only
GBP 50.00 including all VAT, postage and packing (GBP 42.55 excl.VAT).

(2) INSTALLATION

The system requirements are an IBM compatible computer with
minimum 3.0 Mb spare hard disk capacity and 4 Mb RAM.  The
software required is DOS 3.1 (or later), Windows 3.0 (or 3.1)
and Microsoft Excel for Windows Version 5.0 (or later).  

The 3 1/2 (90 mm) 1.44 Mb disk contains all the files.

(1)	Using File Manager, make a directory under call it 'Budgets'.
	The path will therefore be 'C:\Budgets'.

(2)	Copy or Execute the files to this sub-directory.
	Use the command line: 'A: Copy *.*_C:\Budgets' or
	A:Run SFLBudgt.Exe_C:\Budgets for an execute file.

(3)	Keep the disk as supplied as your back-up security copy.

(4)	Set up a separate icon on your Applications Menu 
	(a)	Click 'File New'.
	(b)	Select 'Programme Item' and press 'OK'.
	(c)	Description - Systematic Finance.
	(d)	Command line:
		'C:\[Excel]\Excel.exe_C:\Budgets\SFLBudgt.xls'.

Note: the space between the two parts of the command.
The working directory is 'C:\Budgets'.

(5)	The icon file - 'SFLBudgt.ico' in the path 'C:\Budgets'.
	It will appear as an icon logo
(6)	Click the icon twice to start Systematic Budgets MIS.
	A full menu box appears with all options.


The files on the disk are:

SFLBudgt.xls	Excel Application File
Read_Me.txt	This text file with simple notes
SFLBudgt.ico	Icon file

You should have now these files in your sub-directory.

Registered Copies have one further file called
SFLRegtn.xls in order to set up the application
file as 'Registered'.

3  STARTING THE SYSTEM

(A)Click the icon twice quickly to activate the Application
A copyright box appears - follow instructions when you
open the Application for the first time.  You will need to
enter your header information and will have the option of
printing notes and a registration document.

A dialog box for basic inputs will appear.  Enter your details
and press OK.

A Main Options Menu appears with a description of each option.
Select an option and press 'OK'.
The system loads the application and halts for manual input.

(B)You can generally enter all figures in blue.  Further buttons
allow you to perform other tasks - these are described with each
option.  Each option contains a worked example.

(C)The 'pull-down' menus at the top of your screen are:

Shareware users do not have access to the zeroing or multiple print
options.  Similarly, they cannot transfer to Excel menus.  To have
full access, register your copy as below.

Keep all files in the same sub-directory - they will not work
correctly if split

4  LICENCE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This notice is intended to be a 'no nonsense' agreement between
you ('the licencee') and Systematic Finance Limited ('Systematic').
The software and associated documentation ('software') are
subject to copyright law.  They are protected by the laws of
England.  If you use this software, you are deemed to have
accepted the terms and conditions under which this software
was supplied.

You have a limited licence to use the software for 14 days
to make as many copies of the software as you wish.  This is
a 'Shareware' copy software licence granted by Systematic
for evaluation purposes.

The phrase 'Shareware' is used to give the licencee maximum
flexibility in the use of the licence.  This means, for example,
that this software can be used by any number of people, or
freely moved between computers.  You may however not make
any changes or modifications to the licenced software.  You may
not decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer the licenced
software or sell the software to others.  You may freely copy
the software and pass on to others provided that you do not pass
it off as your property and that you include all the files and
documentation on the disk without any omissions.

A full Systematic Finance licence costs of GBP 50.00 including VAT.
Registration entitles you to receive the latest version, a complete
user manual, all updates as they become available, free support and
access to all parts of the system.  Use the form on the disk to
order and include a note of your machine type.

Systematic warrants that the software will perform substantially in
accordance with the documentation supplied with it.  Systematic
does not warrant that the functions contained in the software will
meet your requirements or that the operation of the software will be
uninterrupted or error free.  This warranty does not extend to
changes made to the software by third parties, nor does it extend
to liability for data loss, damages or lost profits due to the use of
the software.
