Aurora Floyd:
The case is Carl Eric Olsen v. State of Iowa, No. CL68-40343, In The Iowa
District Court for Polk County. The stipulations were filed in August of 1987,
and signed by Thomas D. MgGrane, an assistant Attorney General of Iowa, for Tom
Miller, then Attorney General of Iowa. They have this document on microfilm and
it's a terrible copy. I lost my original and McGrane says he lost his. The
answer to request for admission No. 41 was that there are no clinical studies
showing conclusively that marijuana is addictive. The answer to request for
admission No. 42 was that there are no clinical studies showing conclusively
that any amount of smoked marijuana can cause death in human beings. The answer
to request for admission No. 46 was that there have been no clinical studies
showing that any amount of smoked marijuana can cause any disease in human
beings (with the exception of marijuana polluted by contaminants).
