INSTALLING TASK MANAGER PLUS
----------------------------

Please note that Task Manager Plus will only work with Microsoft Windows
versions 3.1 and 3.11

The evaluation release of Task Manager Plus should contain the following files:

TASKPLUS.EXE
CTL3DV2.DLL
TASKPLUS.TXT (This file)

To install Task Manager Plus:

Copy the files TASKPLUS.EXE and TASKPLUS.TXT into your Windows directory.
Copy the file CTL3DV2.DLL into your Windows System directory.

Using Notepad, open the file SYSTEM.INI (found in your Windows directory) and
add (or edit) the line in the [Boot] section TASKMAN.EXE= to read

TASKMAN.EXE=TASKPLUS.EXE

This can be in upper or lower case. If the line doesn't exist, you can add it
directly under the line [Boot].

Restart Windows and the usual methods of invoking the Task Manager, with a
double-click on the desktop or the Control-Esc key combination, should now invoke
Task Manager Plus.

USING TASK MANAGER PLUS
-----------------------

Task Manager Plus operates in the same way as the Standard Task Manager except in
one respect: clicking on the All tasks tick box displays EVERY task operating in
your current Windows session; including DLL's, Fonts, etc. These tasks can be ended
(though not Switched To, that button does nothing when you have all your Windows
tasks listed) by selecting the End Task command.

WARNING: UNLOADING DLL'S OR OTHER TASKS MAY AFFECT YOUR WINDOWS SESSION. PLEASE
USE CAUTION.
