This disk contains three golf courses for the IBM PC commercial
golf game MEAN 18. These are fictitous courses in a challenging
setting, designed for the advanced player.

You must have the MEAN 18 program to use this disk.

CLUB SPUDS was designed by John Vasconcellos (7,939 yards).
KULA CLUB TROPICA was designed by Bob Kula (7,159 yards).
KVEK CLUB was designed by Jim Kvek (6,722 yards).

Supplemental text file YARDAGE.DOC contains score cards.

If you have MEAN 18 versions of other custom courses, I will be
glad to trade for them.

PLAY VARIATIONS for the Advanced Player

After you have mastered your favorite course here are some
intentional handicaps which you may wish to impose upon yourself in
order to increase the difficultly level (and fun):

3-club tournament: You must select 3 and only 3 clubs in your golf
bag before you begin your round. One must be a putter. You must play
the entire round using only those clubs which you selected, regardless
of the lie or yardage to the pin. A 3-wood is a good choice.

Do not use left/right arrows to position line-of-flight.
Alternatively, you must estimate how much to hook/slice each swing.

Same as above on the putting green as well as the fairway!

Hide the "yardage to the pin" number on the screen (try a standard
1 x 3" mailing label). This forces you to guess the distance to the pin
based on the viewing perspective you have on the monitor (just like real
life).
