TIDE98 (2.0) - Tide level calculator with link to GPS
Jean-Yves Pontailler 02/1998

Only few changes were implemented since the previous versions of TIDE97 :
 - the display can be updated every 60, 30 or 20 seconds,
 - TIDE98 can display the azimuth of the sun as a magnetic bearing, taking into account the magnetic declination,
 - coordinates from GPS are displayed either in EURO50 or in WGS84 geodesic system,
 - a reference mark can be added in the main screen to show the water level over a dangerous area or at your favourite anchorage,
- time may be shifted forwards or backwards using left or right arrows,
- one can adjust the zero offset,
- tides of daily type are no longer supported,
-TIDE98 used to be an OPO file and now is an OPA file with an icon.

If you wish to carry on with TIDE97, simply delete the old COEF97.DAT file (in \OPD\), rename the new TIDE.DAT data file as COEF97.DAT and install it in any \OPD\ directory (TIDE.DAT is part of TIDE98-6.ZIP).
If you choose to install TIDE98, please refer to the notice (DOCGB.WRD or TXT).

If you think that the notice is too long (it is !), just read the disclaimer and the installation paragraph, install the files, then run TIDE98, validate the first dialog and refer to the on-line help.

A good new : TIDE98 is still free !
