Readme for NodeMap ------------------ An Hierarchical Note Taker for the Psion Series5 (c)2000 Dave Eggleston, except event driven core from RMREvent by Al Richey. This should now be release quality software, but please do forward all comments, suggestions and bug reports to nodemap@mirrorkill.f9.co.uk As with all programming that I do, this is written to scratch an itch - none of the other pieces of note-taking software that I've tried worked *quite* how I wanted. Therefore at this stage the software is probably very idiosyncratic in ways I just can't see. At the moment there are some minor restrictions on this as a shareware version. There are no warranties on this piece of software. Naturally I'll try to help if you take the trouble to email, though, but if you want yer actual tech support then you'll need to register. The documentation is improving slowly too... INSTALLATION ------------ The installation is supplied as three .sis files, NodeMapx.xx.sis which contains the main NodeMap application and support files, StandardNMXsx.xx.sis, which installs four NodeMap extensions (TextMutator, AgendaLink, SketchLink and Search) and PDELibx.xx.sis, which provides text editor functionality within NodeMap. The second two .sis files are optional. As long as you have EPOC Connect (PsiWin) installed on your PC, all you should need to do is double click on the .sis file(s) from this zip archive and follow the on-screen instructions If you *don't*, then use the instexe.exe file included with this archive. Unzip it to a folder on your EPOC machine and double-tap it. You should then be able to double-tap on .sis files to install them. And, er, that's it. :-) Dave Eggleston.
