| The RISC OS and SIBO or EPOC machines both need to be configured to use the same baud rate. This should normally be the highest speed supported by both devices:
Machine type |
Acorn A4, Acorn A3xx, Acorn A4x0, Acorn A4x0/1, Acorn A5x0, Acorn A30x0, Acorn A4000, Acorn A5000 or Acorn Rxxx |
Acorn RiscPC, Acorn A7000 or Acorn A7000+ |
SIBO | Psion Series 3 | 9600 baud | 9600 baud |
Psion Series 3a, Psion Siena, Psion Workabout or Acorn PocketBook I | 19200 baud | 19200 baud |
Psion Series 3c, Acorn PocketBook II or Xemplar PocketBook III | 57600 baud |
Psion Series 3mx | 115200 baud |
EPOC | Psion Series 5, Psion Series 5mx, Psion Series 7, Psion Netbook, Psion Revo, Geofox-One, Ericsson MC218, Ericsson R380, Oregon Scientific Osaris, Philips Ilium Accent or Philips Synergy | 19200 baud | 115200 baud |
If a high speed serial interface is fitted to the RISC OS computer, then the higher baud rates listed in the right-hand column will be available with older machines.
PsiFS may be configured to automatically identify the required baud rate for the remote link. With this option it is not necessary to explicitly specify the baud rate unless the printer mirror is being used. |
