AT MOUNT CARMEL, FEBRUARY 28, 1995
A half-dozen Davidian survivors, a half-dozen supporters and
about 30 people from the entertainment media (formerly the
press) gathered on the Mt. Carmel property--behind the
fence--for the planting of six trees for the six Davidians who
died February 28, 1993. They will plant 76 trees on April
19th for those who died that day. To contribute to the tree

BRANCH DAVIDIANS' LAWSUITS MARK TWO-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ASSAULT
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
By MIKE DRAGO, Associated Press Writer

HOUSTON (AP) - Branch Davidians and their survivors sued the
government for $63. 5 million Monday, claiming it meant for
church members to die in the federal raid on their compound
and the fire that destroyed it. "This is a fundamentally
different approach than any of the other lawsuits," said
lawyer James Brannon, who filed the lawsuit in federal court.

"The others claim that the government made mistakes," he
said. "This is the only one that takes a position that they
calculatedly destroyed the compound and everything in it. "
Nearly a dozen civil lawsuits have been filed by federal
agents and by Davidians. None have gone to trial yet.
{Note: Ramsey Clark is also involved in this Lawsuit.)

Protesters Remember Waco Raid
Organizer demands state investigation

AUSTIN - On the second anniversary of the deadly federal
government raid on the Branch Davidian compound of David
Koresh, a small group of protesters gathered at the Capitol to
call for an independent investigation of the siege. Terry
Parker, a Libertarian Party member who helped organize the
protest, said Tuesday that the government needs to answer for
it's actions Feb. 28, 1993, near Waco. "The reason this
horrible incidnet can't be let go is you have federal agents
who came into Texas, committed deadly acts and yet there has
been no credible investigation of criminal culpability on the
part of the government," Mr Parker said. "The government has
only examined itself, and that's just not enough to satisfy
justice. " About 25 protesters gathered at the Capitol
carrying signs reading, "Remember the Waco Atrocity" and
"Remember the Children Who Died. " Mr. Parker released an
open letter to Gov. George W. Bush in whech he asked the
governor to launch a state investigation into the federal
government's
actions two years ago.

WASHINGTON, DC

Early morning, February 28, Members of the Committee for
Waco Justice leafleted employees of the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco and Firearms at their national headquarters. The
leaflet urged employees to report any crimes against the
Davidians to prosecutors and prove they are not part of the
Gestapo-police state mentality.

22 protesters rallied outside that evening to protest
BATF's fatal raid on the Branch Davidians. Typically paranoid
BATF insisted that everyone entering the building that day
present picture I.D. Employees of other businesses sharing
BATF's building noted that many BATF employees evidently took
a "mental health" day because the building was relatively
empty.

Committee members also leafleted Congress on both
February 28 and March 1, passing out over 300 peices of
literature including 30 copies of the Committee's "61
Questions for Congress about Waco" to Congressional
representatives who passed by.

The Committee also place a $360 3"x4" advertisement in
the Washington Times reading "NO MORE HELICOPTER ATTACKS ON
AMERICANS (with a sketch of shooting at the Mount Carmel from
a helicopter) Congress Must Investigate BATF/FBI Crimes in
Waco. Free the Branch Davidian Prisoners!" (Thanks to those
who contributed for the ad. Your copy will soon be in the
mail.)

OTHER DEMONSTRATIONS

The Libertarian Party of Sante Fe County New Mexico held
a noontime demonstration at FBI offices in Santa Fe.

San Juan Citizens for Second Amendment Rights (New
Mexico) demonstrated at the local FBI building.

MARCH 1st-FULL PAGE N.R.A. ANTI-BATF AD

Placed in the Washington Post, it had great photo of
BATF agents, fully armed, smashing out towards the reader.
Headline read "Tell the CLinton Whitehouse to stay out of
your house" and called for Clinton to put ATF under control
and prosecute those guilty of civil rights abuses.

Few Americans realize that when BATF attacked the Branch
Davidian religious group in Waco, Texas they killed at least
four unarmed civilians, including by illegal firing from
helicopters that left over a hundred holes in the building's
roof and ceiling. BATF and FBI agents, silently or
explicitly, conspired to sabotage negotiations so they would
have an excuse to destroy a building containing evidence which
could have led to long prison terms for more than a dozen
agents. The Committee for Waco Justice is working for an
investigation of BATF and FBI crimes against the Davidians,
for prosecution of responsible agents and officials, and for
freedom for the nine Branch Davidian prisoners sentenced to
240 years in prison for defending themselves against the
brutal BATF assault.

Get together with friends and associates and demonstrate
against the BATF and FBI assaults at your local BATF, FBI or

you will be making a statement and pricking some consciences.
