AB Philadelphia's AIDS Activities Coordinating Office (AACO) and the
Philadelphia AIDS Task Force (PATF) have both undergone several recent
lawsuits for misdeeds. AACO officials admitted to mistakenly revealing
the HIV status and sexual orientation of 36 people who served on a
community advisory committee for prevention programs and the agency has
since been sued twice for hiring discrimination. PATF's former executive
director was indicted for stealing over $200,000 from the organization
for his personal use. The accused, Francis J. Stoffa, Jr., maintains his
       innocence and is awaiting trial.
