AB Every diagnosis of AIDS has repercussions that are widespread as well as
deeply felt. AIDS Dementia Complex brings a particularly wide range of
issues which are magnified and accentuated when the person is otherwise
physically well. The authors look in same detail at personal, social,
ethical, legal and practical issues in relation to five patients most of
whom spent long periods in in-patient care. The need for long-term
supervised care challenges prevailing philosophies of main-streaming and
       de-institutionalisation.
