FIRST STEPS...

My staff and I are proud of the work we've done with this, the premiere
issue of SYNCHRONETICS E-ZINE. I think we've created an eclectic collection
of articles that deal with Synchronet BBS Systems as well as BBS'ing in
general. My special thanks go to my CoSysOp, HeadHunter, for sharing some
of his wisdom in a very shadowy region of the industry, hacking. I would
also like to thank The Voice BBS for allowing me to visit their little
piece of the American Dream, and all the people on DOVE-NET who voiced
their support for this endeavour and offered any assistance they could.

Inside you'll find articles about hacking, setting up door games, review of
popular doors, some newsbytes, and a couple other things. Nothing very
groundbreaking but it's a start at least. A wise man once said "The journey
of a thousand miles begins with a single step.", and he was right. This is
our first of hopefully many steps to come. This issue is also something of
a litmus test to determine what people want and need in a support journal.
What this means is I need to know what you, the reader, thinks of our
efforts. Tell us what we're doing wrong, or right, or what we're
neglecting. Right now I have a staff of three including myself, so I'm
always looking for contributing editors, or just some advice.

I run a single line system so I'm not very well versed on multi-line setups
so if you're a multi-line SysOp, then I want to hear from you especially.
Tell me how you do what you do, why you do it, and what problems arise from
such setups. This will help others who read this e-zine as well as help out
Rob (Digital Man) by not bogging him down with repetitious questions on
DOVE-NET. That will allow him to spend more time coding and making
Synchronet even better than it is now.
