SUMMARY OF THINGS FOR A "HUB" TO DO TO CONFIGURE SIGNET FOR FIDO
     ----------------------------------------------------------------

1. In PCBSETUP, change all your SigNET conferences to a TYPE 5 (FIDO).

2. Add a unique Fido Area Name on the 3rd screen of each SigNet
conference (use the names shown on the list below, including the
    leading "S-")

3. Also add your SigNET node # as the default AKA and a default origin.
    A sample I use is : * SigNET * Union Station * Union, N.J.*

4. Add a FIDO user record for my node (11:1/100) and place an RS flag next
to every SigNET conference. Remove flags for any other conferences.

5. Insert a "Session" password on the 1st screen in my user record.
(be sure to tell me what it is so I can add it to your record)

6. Scan for outbound mail and destroy the FIRST mail packet it creates
for me (this will correctly set all the mail pointers).

7. Add a separate POLL event for my node #. Set the time between 2:00 a.m
and 4:00 a.m. EDT for the POLL event.

8. If you do not have a NETMAIL conference set up, then I suggest you do so.
Follow the docs for your particular system. DO NOT place an RS flag in my
record for the NETMAIL conference. It is for exchanging private messages
on a system by systen basis only! If you are carrying Fido, you already
    have a NETMAIL conference!

9. In PCBSETUP, under Fido Configuration - System Address, place the node #
that you've been assigned for SigNET. If you are in Fido, then use ALT-I
to add the SigNET node # to the list.
Also, in PCBSETUP, under Fido Configuration - Nodelist Configuration, add
the path to "SIGNETNL" to the list. Don't add a name for the NODEDIFF
    category.

10. Last but not least, place the Signet nodelist (SIGNETNL.000) in the
directory you specified in Step 9. Now compile the nodelist by typing
PCBNLC from the PCB directory. The SigNET nodelist is now added to your
"nodelist.dbf" file. That's it. Your ready to roll......
***BTW, if you belong to FidoNET and regularly update your nodelist using
/DIFF switch, you will see an error message stating that the compiler could
not find the diff file for 007. Don't worry about it. It's looking for an
update to the SigNET nodelist (and assuming it's numbered in 7 day
    increments).

This setup will work and won't interfere with the .QWK mail packet routine
which is used by other nodes to echo SigNet mail.
