                          INTRODUCTION

We are interested in making the topic of women's health issues
more easy to access by the general public. Our goal is to produce a
guide of resources that relate to women's health concerns on the
Internet. We are endeavoring to organize, describe and evaluate these
located sources. Many of the sources are specific to women, but we
are also including information of a more general nature in an effort
to address all the health concerns of women. We are continuing to
accomplish this with the help of subject experts in the field of
women's health.

This guide should not be considered the definitive source on the
subject, but as a helpful starting point. We intend to maintain this
guide as an ongoing project and we encourage any comments,
corrections, suggestions for additions, and/or compliments. We feel
confident that this guide is a useful resource and we want people to
use it, however, we ask that if you use it elsewhere you give us
credit for our work.

                        USING THIS GUIDE

We have organized this guide numerically within a subject
arrangement. We have also included a index which organizes the
resources by the tool used to obtain them, and also alphabetically. If
you are unfamiliar with the terms or the methods used to locate the
information we have cited, please refer to appendices 5.1 and 5.2,
which are a short list of definitions and a list of suggested
reference works on the methods of Internet navigation.

section and browse through it, since these texts assume differing
levels of prexisting knowledge about computers, this is the best way
to find one best suited to your needs. We would like to mention a
short list that has been helpful to us in our searching.
