Thank you for downloading Tobesofkee Golf Club. This course is
an original design for JNSE set on a piece of land near Macon,
Georgia. The primary water hazard, Lake Tobesofkee, is "real"
and was keyed into the designer to scale, so it is the most
accurate part of the setting. The hills surrounding the lake
follow the topographical indications on the map used for the
lake, but they are not exact renditions.

The course is intended to carry out the design philosophy of
players on the GEnie on-line service JNSE Tour. We believe that
many of the "top" JNSE courses are unplayable and unrealistic.
While there are some fairly long forced carries on this course,
most holes have an alternate safe route to par. Most of the
holes have fairly flat landing areas, and many of the fairways
are quite wide to allow for strategic play. Heavy rough comes
into play very seldom, and it does not impinge on the greens.
All of the greens have an apron of fairway surrounding them as
well. While some of the greens have major breaks in them, all
of the pins are placed on "flat" spots. Adjacent holes are not
drawn, as the course mostly runs end to end. However, we have
tried to keep trees out of places they should not be.

While the course should be playable under all conditions, it is
intended to be played with gentle winds. The winds in Georgia
normally do not exceed 10-15 m.p.h. If you find yourself playing
in high winds and dry conditions, the course may prove more
daunting. Also, the course is quite hilly, and you should heed
the hole quotes as to uphill and downhill shots. Most of them
have been noted, but some have not. Most of the greens follow
the natural contours of the course, and several should hold a
long iron or fairway wood, as they are higher in the back.

Flower beds mark 150 yards to the pin on most holes. They also
mark the ends of some lay up areas, the bends in some doglegs,
and a few target points.

The credit for the graphics on the course must go to Lee Ritze.
The background is a slightly reworked version of his Augusta
National background, and most of the trees come from his
renditions of Augusta, Merion, and OSU Scarlet. The hole sign
and ball washer come from Scott Chesney's Pebble Beach.
