More Drug Running

     JAKARTA, Indonesia (AEN) -- Two American military
officials, one an assistant Army attache and the other a Sergeant First
Class in the Army, were arrested in Indonesia at a hotel bar on
February 10 for selling and possessing with intent to sell 7,575
tablets of an hallucinogenic drug with the streetname of "Ecstasy."
     The two men, identified as Peter Karajin and Sgt. 1st Class
Steven Bryner, an assistant Army attache, left Indonesia on
Thursday in the custody of U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency officials.
They will be turned over to U.S. military authorities in Washington,
the embassy said in a statement. 
     "The charges against them will be thoroughly investigated in
accordance with the uniform code of military justice and all
appropriate action will be taken," the statement said. 
     Jakarta police chief Maj. Gen. M. Hindarto said the Americans
have diplomatic immunity and cannot be detained in Indonesia. 
     Two Indonesians and two Dutch citizens, who were not
identified, were also arrested.
