Building the Future:  K-12 Network Technology Planning Guide:
This comprehensive document was developed by the California Department 
of Education with collaboration from many of California's leading 
educational networking experts.  The Guide describes statewide 
networking standards and addresses key issues regarding network 
implementation.  The Department of Education has sent a copy of this 
Guide to every district and county office of California's K-12 public 
schools.

Integrated Services Digital Network Tariff Rates: 
	The following outlines the CPUC rates and charges which have 
	been waived for those services included in the Education First 
	initiative.  At the end of one year from the date of installation, 
	you may retain these services, but to do so you must pay the 
	applicable tariffed rates/charges listed below.  Ask us to tell 
	you up front what year two charges will be based on your 
	configuration. Additionally, Pacific Bell will be filing 
	adiscounted education access rate in early 1995.  If you do not 
	wish to continue subscribing to these services, you may disconnect 
	them without penalty.  The Education First program is separate 
	from all other Pacific Bell offerings and does not apply to any 
	pay telephone service.

End User Common Line Charges (FCC No. 128) still apply and depend on your 
service ($3.50-.$4.72 per month).





(1) These rates and charges are effective 1-1-95 and are subject to 
change based on CPUC approval of an education access rate in 1995 which 
could lower these rates and charges in the second year.
(2) Monthly rates will also include applicable tax and Pacific Bell 
usage charges (as set forth in Schedule Cal.P.U.C. Nos. A5.2.1 and A6.2.1) 
which will be paid by Pacific Bell's Education First program during the 
free one year of service.
(3) These one time non-recurring charges are covered by Pacific Bell's 
Education First initiative, if you need additional lines above the 
initial ones provided during the first year these charges do apply.
