Welcome to Windows Developer

Release 1.561 fixes some bugs and adds some keystroke compatibility
features. The NT edition has been rebuilt using the final release.
See CHANGES.TXT for more information on this update, and FEATURES.WRI
for a full list of features.

Windev is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge to the
user for evaluation. If you find that you are using Windev and
continue to use it after a reasonable trial period, you must make a
registration payment. See LICENSE.TXT for restrictions of use.

If you're one of the many satisfied users of Windev who snap up new
releases as soon as they appear, but have yet to register, it couldn't
be easier using CompuServe's online registration service. Click "Help"
in Windev's startup dialog for details of this service, and other
	methods of payment.

Helios Software Solutions is an approved vendor and associate member
of the Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP), so you can rest
assured that Windev is a high quality product.

Installation

See the following files for operating specific installation
   instructions:

       INSTW31.TXT - For MS Windows 3.1
INSTNT.TXT - For MS Windows NT

Common Problems:

    1) If you obtained Windev in zipped form you must unzip it using
the option to create directories (pkunzip -d).

    2) If you have CTL3D.DLL or CTL3D32.DLL in your Windows system
directory, make sure it is not older than the version supplied
with the corresponding edition of Windev.

Tips:

    1) The File Open dialog allows you to open multiple files at once.
You just use Ctrl or Shift in conjunction with the left mouse
button to select all the files to open.

    2) Dialogs that accept multiple file names, such as File Open,
Manage Files and Extract Strings, can take a directory name as
the first name in the list. All subsequent names are then assumed
to be files in that directory. eg: "c:\windev *.txt *.ini"
is the same as "c:\windev\*.txt c:\windev\*.ini"
