This program is freeware, so give it to everybody you know :)
I am glad if you send an e-mail and tell me what you think.
Look at my HomePage for updates

CeeL WinEncoder let you encode your wav files to mp3 files when still
in Windows.

Requirements:
*  l3enc.exe of course
*  Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0
* The Visual Basic 4.0 32-bit runtimes, available at my HomePage

Features:
* The bitrate and other switches is set in Windows
* Possibility to add many songs at a time (They are encoded one after another)
* Long File Name support on files (Not on directories though)
* This program, l3enc and the source and target file can all be in different directories
* The program will "remember" your settings in bitrate etc. and put them up the next time you start the program

Manual:
The program is not very hard to use...
But a short brief of the functions:

Bitrate:
This is the bitrate which l3enc will use

Swithes:
The switches used by l3enc, more info is available in the l3enc documentation

Show "XX files left" between files in DOS window:
This is my own little favorite feature :)
If you encode many files it might be good to know how many is left...
if you check this box, a message saying "XX file(s) left" will appear
between the files...you will see this in the DOS windows of course

L3enc location:
The location you have set to l3enc..if you have not set any location this field is blank
Then it is a good idea to set the location with the "Set" -" l3enc path" in the menu.
The info is written in a file called "l3loc.sys" which will be created in the same directory as the exe
file.

The three buttons are of course for adding and removing files from the list
When you press the encode button all the files on the list will be encoded in the order
they appear in the list.

About Long Filenames:
L3enc does not support long filenames because it is a DOS program.
In CeeL WinEncoder you can use long filenames both in the source and target file BUT...
you CAN NOT use long filenames in the paths for the files...for exammple
you can encode a wav file called "A little fine song.wav" which is located at
C:\songs\ but not encode a file called "song.wav" if it is located at
C:\Fine Songs\ hope you understand the problem...because the thing CeeL WinEncoder does
is to rename the file and then give it it's old name back, but renaming the directories may cause
many unpleasant things, so thats why it won't work. Some characters like space are allowed in long filenames
but not in the directory names here. The path to l3enc may not use long filenames either.
And a little note about that too: If you close the DOS window
when l3enc is encoding..the file in progress will not be renamed...that is of course because
when you close the window you interrupt the bat file and it can not rename the file....
You maybe think this is too much to keep in mind, but hopefully the program should give an error
message if you are trying to use long directory names. And finally: L3enc is not created to be used with long filenames
or directories, one of these problems the CeeL WinEncoder gets around but not the other, I hope you understand why.

Versions:

* 1.1 - Now the program will remember your settings in bitrate and switches and write them in a file named "ceelwenc.ini"
which will appear in the same directory as the program. I also made the window center on the screen, good for those
with 640 by 480 resolution. Made it possible to doubleclick on the wav file to encode. Improved the "first time screen"
which appears when you run the program without having the l3loc.sys in the same directory. And then fixed a bug when
the program should warn you if a file exists. A really embarrassing one :(

* 1.0 - The first non-beta version. Some minor bug fixes.

* 0.91 Beta -	Some bug fixes. Bugs which was caused by the new features in 0.9

* 0.9 Beta -	Made it possible to drag over many files when selecting the source files. This because you (at least I and people I
know) often have all the files to encode in the same directory and want all the mp3s to be created in the same
directory. But the mp3 directory can be a different one from the wav dir. Fixed the bug when the program should
warn you about if a file exists. Now it should work properly.

* 0.72 Beta - Fixed the "Viev Readme.txt" bug (i hope) and made so the l3enc path window will appear at the startup
of the program if you haven't set the path. A warning message appears if the target mp3 file already
		exist.

* 0.7 Beta - This is the first official release of this program, added long filename support.
The program will now write you last wav-path in a file called "lastwav.sys"
		Interface changed a little bit

* 0.45 Beta -	The First version which i thought was working quite well

Bugs:
Even if this is the 1.1 version which has came out of a couple of beta version, there may be bugs left.
I am very thankful if you e-mail bug reports to me.

Good Luck with this program!
