Sharp ZAURUS Message Enabler

ZAURUS Message Enabler is a ZAURUS ZR-5000 Add-on program that initializes 
the Message application (under TOOLS) on your ZAURUS for use with ZAURUS
Mail. ZAURUS Mail is the new workgroup messaging application available
for ZAURUS that runs on a Windows-based PC.

ZAURUS Message Enabler is included with ZAURUS Mail, but has been uploaded
to online services in the event that you wish to connect to public ZAURUS
Mail servers, such as Digital Ink's (a popular ZAURUS newsletter), and have
not purchased a copy of ZAURUS Mail.


To install ZAURUS Message Enabler using a PC:

1. Make sure your PC and ZAURUS are connected via either Infrared or a
   PC-Link cable, and your ZAURUS is in PC-Link mode.

2. Run INSTALL.EXE. If necessary, change the COM port setting to the COM
   port your cable or infrared adaptor is connected to, and then press
   'Y' to begin the installation.

3. Once the installation is complete, touch MORE on the lower right of
   your ZAURUS screen, and then touch the Message Enabler icon twice.
   Message Enabler will initialize the Message application and then
   delete itself from memory.


To install ZAURUS Message Enabler using a Macintosh:

Note: installation using a Macintosh requires that you have a
      copy of ZAURUS Data Exchange Utility for Macintosh.

1. Make sure your Macintosh and ZAURUS are connected via either Infrared 
   or a PC-Link cable, and your ZAURUS is in PC-Link mode.

2. Run ZAURUS Data Exchange Utility for Macintosh and import MAILENBL.ZPM
   into the PC Files area on your ZAURUS.

3. Once the import is complete (and you have exited PC-Link mode), touch 
   MORE on the lower right of your ZAURUS screen, and then touch PC FILES.

4. Touch MAILENBL.ZPM in the file list, and then touch INSTALL.

5. When installation is complete, touch S'WARE. Then touch the Message 
   Enabler icon twice. Message Enabler will initialize the Message 
   application and then delete itself from memory.
