This update service costs £2.50 a quarter (i.e. £10 a year extra,

THE LIST

The list is of IT recruitment agencies who deal with 
contract staff.  (Many also deal with permanent positions)

Andrew Smith (the author of the list) has been using 
the list for CV distribution for over 5 years since the 
first agencies started to use CompuServe e-mail, and no-one
has greater practical experience and knowledge of the 
use of e-mail for effective contract IT work seeking.


HOW BIG IS IT?

This is a big list.  

Over 600 UK agencies, from the largest (e.g. Computer 
People) to those who specialise in various 
fields (e.g. Methods Applications Ltd. with SSADM or 
URL Ltd for Web designers).

As a bonus there are over 150 US, 60 Australian
and 50 European agencies listed.

Andrew Smith has only bothered with those in cool places
to live and work.  For example California, Sydney, 
New York, Toronto etc.  You won't find Hicksville, 
Nevada agencies in the list!

The other bonus is that the current Telephone and Fax 
numbers are also included for over 90% of the agencies
listed.

Oh! we almost forgot: the list is also provided in
CompuServe Address Book Format and in PSION organiser
format.


WHAT QUALITY CONTROLS ARE THERE?

Only genuine IT agencies that run active contract 
(and in many cases permanent) job recruitment services
are included in the list.

It is the most comprehensive and wide-ranging list 
available, and is updated every 3 months.

Even so, there is some "churning" of Internet addresses
by agencies, so even if the list is up to date this month
do not be surprised if 2% or 3% of messages sent next
month are returned as unknown!


HOW IS IT SUPPLIED?

By e-mail only in a password protected file.

The list is supplied in
- simple text format
- CompuServe address-book format
- PSION 3a/3b/Sienna organiser format.


HOW TO BUY IT

1. UK residents please send us a cheque for £10.

2. Non-UK residents please send a money order or
eurocheque for £10.
(International money orders can be bought from
national Post Offices, Thomas Cook or American
Express offices or local banks worldwide.)

3. As money orders can cost up to £10 depending on where
you buy them, you may prefer to simply send us US$15 or 
£10 cash

to send other people's CV/resume details apart from
your spouse.

One of the e-mail addresses and fax numbers hidden in the list belongs 
to Gemini Publishing so that we can monitor the use of
the list and take legal action against any copyright
enfringement.
