PsiOn - V1.4 - By Paul Hargreaves --------------------------------- Changes from V1.3.3 (11/Feb/1997) to V1.4 (2/Mar/1997) ------------------------------------------------------ Improved the speed of keyboard events so that they get handled straight away rather than after 2.5 seconds. Reduced processor usage from once every 2.5 seconds to just once every 60 seconds. Allow sound to be re-enabled when the password is being turned on. Added a new hotkey - Time. This will allow you to change your Switched Off time temporarily. Pressing any other key when activated will turn it off just like Pause mode. Allow all hotkeys to be pressed without the Psion key as well as with. Withdrew support for 1.2 and below settings files, as so many of the old settings have vanished. Merged back in the extra procedures as they were unneeded and were taking up /valuable/ space. Tidied up the docs. Any better? Added a new Techie.txt file. This shows those of you who like changing programs some useful changes you can make. Changes from V1.3.2 (9/Feb/97) to V1.3.3 (11/Feb/1997) ------------------------------------------------------ Changed text label for Pause mode to something a little more user friendly. If you used pause mode, the next day the screen would show that pause mode was active in error. If the Pause mode was used after midnight, PsiOn wouldn't rearm the password for a whole day. Changes from V1.3 (4/Feb/97) to V1.3.2 (9/Feb/97) --------------------------------------------------- Sorted out slight issue where Agenda ignores key presses first thing in the morning. Changes from V1.2 (18/Dec/96) to V1.3 (4/Feb/97) --------------------------------------------------- I've reduced the screen size and removed all the unneeded displays. PsiOn now only uses 9 / 10k of memory when running, rather than the 19k it used before. Added Agenda control. PsiOn can force an Agenda screen to the front in various different views, depending on settings. Two "hot keys" have been added, allowing you to Pause PsiOn until the next day or to Arm the system password straight away. PsiOn will now notice an "event" soon after it happens. This means that if you press Psion-X, Psion-Escape or Quit from the system screen, that PsiOn will quit quickly. PsiOn will also notice when the machine is turned on, and will update it's timers. Removed the Prompt Option - it's more than been replaced by the Auto option that existed in 1.2. Removed the Beep Option. PsiOn only beeps now when it's quitting. Removed the New Auto-Off time. Since PsiOn will be running all the time, the system setting holds this value. I noticed that I've been spelling Siena wrong :( Removed all special dialogs for the Siena and changed all the S3a / c dialogs so they will fit on a Siena. From now on, when a new version of PsiOn is loaded, your old settings are kept. Note that most of the settings have gone away so it only really gets your System Off time. Psion-Escape will quit PsiOn cleanly rather than being ignored. Changes from V1 (1/Nov/96) to V1.2 (18/Dec/96) ---------------------------------------------- Due to an overwhelming lack of response from /anybody/, I've still implemented the things I think you want. Let me know if I missed anything :-( PsiOn will now notice automatically when you type in your password and will unlock the password for you. You can set PsiOn to run in the V1 mode too... I've changed the default Switch off time until password is turned on time to 15 minutes. More beep options have been added (when passwords are turned on/off). PsiOn now doesn't reset your PSION's auto off time until it quits. Siena (emulator) compatible.
