*******************************************************
This is a copy of TimeMan v3.6F for the Psion S3a/3c
ONLY. It is a SHAREWARE time management program. THE
AUTHOR (P.K.Spencer of Aylesbury,England) SHALL NOT BE
HELD LIABLE IN ANY WAY FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR TO
YOU OR YOUR SYSTEM AS A RESULT OF USING THE PROGRAM.
********************************************************

PLEASE NOTE: TIMEMAN WILL *NOT* RUN ON THE NEW PSION SIENA
MODELS DUE TO THE SCREEN LIMITATIONS. IT DOES HOWEVER, RUN
ON THE NEW 3c MODELS, AND NOW SUPPORTS THE NEW CLOCKS!

INSIDE THE ZIP
***************
Timeman.opa (program file)
Timeman.txt (this file)
Timeman.hlp (help file)
Timeman.cnv (Conversions Data)

**********************************************************
*                 VERY IMPORTANT NOTE!!                  *
**********************************************************

Please install the on-line help as this is a very in-depth
guide to all of the programs features. I don't like long
read me files because people tend to just skip them and end
up not knowing how to use the program. To this end I've
tried to keep the file as short and as small as possible.
This means that none of the features are explained and that
there is no in-depth "how to use me" guide. However, all
of this is in the file "TimeMan.hlp" and if you want to know
how to use TimeMan then you NEED to install the help, after
all, once you get the hang of it the help can be deleted later!

NEW USER INSTALLATION
*********************
Put TimeMan.opa in the \APP directory on any drive. Then create
a directory called M:\TIMEMAN\ and into this put the conversion file
(Timeman.cnv). If you like, you can create this directory on another
disk too and then add the help file to it. The help file can go on
any disk, as can the .OPA but all the ini files and the conversions
file MUST go on drive M (Internal). Then install Timeman using
Psion+I from the System Screen.
Files called "Timeman.ini" and "Reminder.ini" will be created
in the \TIMEMAN directory of the Internal drive, these holds all
of the crucial settings. WHEN you register a file called
"Timeman.reg" is placed in the \TIMEMAN directory so that the
program recognises you as a kind-hearted, registered user!

UPGRADING FORM EARLIER VERSIONS
*******************************
To do this, you must very simply do the following. Overwrite the
TimeMan.opa and TimeMan.hlp files from their old destinations.
Unfortunately, this version of TimeMan had a lot of re-writes
done to it. As a result, the settings file format has
canged to a far more reliable one. However, this new
format means you will be UNABLE to keep all your old
settings as you could before. This shoudl be the only time that
this problem occurs from now on though.

About the Prog
**************
I wrote this prog because I wanted to have a collection of general
time management utilities. After much development (spending far
much more time than I should have done on the code), I thought
that the program was in an acceptable state to be publically
released, and more importantly, to be of use to other 3a users.
Now, TimeMan has become a sort of "Swiss Army Knife" of applications,
with many very useful features all grouped under 1 shell.

About the Author
****************
P.K.Spencer is a 16 year old from Aylesbury. I have
very little OPL experience and I'm learning to write
programs. This is one of my first attempts and I have now managed
to reach quite an advanced level, this version is wildly superior to
any earlier versions. The Prog appears to have no bugs but if you
find any or have any comments/suggestions for future versions then
I welcome your input either by:

E-Mail on nicko@nildram.co.uk or 106023,676 on CIS

OR by Snail-Mail at :

Updates of TimeMan can be found on my web page at:

Disabled Features
******************
In the unregistered version I have kept back a few items
as an incentive to register. Firstly there are some nag
screens that appear, next you can only have analog clocks
and not digital - I have found that digital clocks are
more popular. Apart from this, the rest of the
program is fully working so use, enjoy, REGISTER :-)

Registering
***********
TimeMan v3.6F is distributed as Shareware. To register
the program on Compuserve, GO SWREG 11633, otherwise you
must:

Send 8 UKP OR a foreign currency equivalent PLUS 10% to
my Snail-Mail address with either your E-Mail address or
with a an SAE. This will enable me to send you your
personalised Key-Code to unlock the program's features
and banish the nags forever.
When registered you will be entitled to any future
upgrades FREE, if you have E-Mail access then I'll mail you
to tell you when or before they're released. You also get
a direct say in future developments and more importantly
a clear mind. 8 UKP isn't a lot to register and it'll help me
develop future versions (and other programs). I don't have much
time free as I'm doing my GCSE's so I need an incentive :-)

How to Use TimeMan
******************
The first time you run TimeMan you will be presented
with 6 world clocks, this is essentially the main interface
of the program, although there are far more features to it and
you can also alter the interface via the diamond key.
AT ANY TIME YOU CAN CONSULT THE ON-LINE HELP (providing it's
present) FOR MORE INFO.	These clocks display 6 different times
for 6 different places in the world - allowing you to view 6
places consequtively, something the 3a doesn't do normally.
The times ARE NOT taken from the World database as this allows
the user more freedom and you can enter places on a more
regional basis, this I have found to be of more use. From within
the program there is the menu that has lots of different features
accesable from it. Most of them are fairly self-evident and by
accessing them you can usually work out what to do, however the
help file contains full explanations

My whole-hearted thanks goto FRANCIS CREESE (Datalink BBS) for his
excellent support and for testing some of my earlier copies and
making suggestions, also for his memory checker code. Without all
of his help I could never have got the program into such an acceptable
state. I would also like to thank STEVE LITCHFIELD for his help and
suggestions. Alex Wilbur and John Boyce were both also a *great* help
in providing me with bits of code for a)Quick Calc and b)Launching Draw,
repectively. Finally, I am forever indebted to BRENDAN BREEDE for the
code to save/restore System settings (from his SARCon program) and
also for showing me how to do the new settings file format afer
many, many e-mails on the subject ;-)

Other Programs by the Author:
*****************************
Have you tried PassAgn? The .zip to look out for is
"PASAGN18.ZIP" as this is the latest version (v1.81F).
This program will add password protection to the S3a
Agenda and once installed it appears just like the
"Agenda" app so not many could tell the difference!
This program is also available from my web page and now
includes a 3c special version - Siena copy coming soon.

- Also tightened up on what the user can do (covered most ways users
can make it crash that I know of)
- Modified help

Changes since v3.5F
*******************
Where do I begin? v3.6F was a HUGE step foreward, there were so
many things re-written or added that I can't remember them all,
but here are some highlights!

- Clocks now in 1 graphics window which uses less memory
both System wide and from the Window Server. Thanks to Steve
Godfrey at Psion Software for this!
- Clocks now support the new round 3c version (3c's only ;-) )
- View .PICs from .APP/.OPA/.IMG/.GRP/.ALS files
- Fuel Consumption module added
- Help file greatly improved
- Added a Hotkey for quick switching to TimeMan
- The ability to Save/Restore System settings (this code was
provided by Brendan Breede from his SARCon program. I am
ETERNALLY grateful for his generous nature!)
- A new settings file format which allows more settings
and uses less disk space and .OPP code - again thanks go
to Brendan Breede for showing me this technique!
- Stopwatche re-written to use the accurate FRC: device
- All known bugs fixed

There's also a LOT more, but too many to mention ;-)
