SysReset 1.0 Introduction ------------ SysReset performs a soft reset to the Pilot. SysReset is a replacement for the clip edge that is used for resetting the Pilot. As you know, there is a small hole in the back of the pilot, giving access to the Reset button of the Pilot. This application wil be useful to those, like me, that use the Pilot Debugger to exchange data between the Pilot and the Mac. As known, the Pilot debugger does NOT close the serial port after communication, and it is necessary to reset the Pilot at the end. Since my clips always disappear, I wrote this stupid utility to reset the Pilot for me. Since this is probably the only reason to reset a working Pilot (if it is frozen you can't access SysReset, and thus need a clip anyway), the usefulness of this application is extremely limited. I could ask a shareware fee of $89.95 for this application, but you would be absolutely silly to pay it and absolutely dishonest not to pay it. So I ask nothing instead, saving a moral dilemma and a whopping $89.95. Go to a restaurant instead. Version History --------------- 1.0 (10/4/96) Initial and most likely final release. Known bugs and problems: ------------------------- - As a clip replacement, it does not hold together paper stacks at all. - None other known. None would be solved anyway.
