This CD includes two virtual worlds created in Superscape VRT, a
virtual reality authoring package. Also included on the disk is the
Visualiser. You need to use the Visualiser in order to explore the two
or indeed any virtual world created in Superscape's VRT.

Virtual Reality can be used for a wide variety of applications in a
wide variety of industries. It can be used as sales and marketing aid,
a training aid, a design aid or even as an entertainment medium.


THE PETROL STATION VIRTUAL WORLD

The petrol station illustrates how Superscape VR can be used as a
training aid.

Price change

Try changing the price of petrol by clicking on the colour strips on
either side of the prices.

Navigate around the station and “fly” to the yellow pump next to the
car. Clicking on the yellow pump handle, hold the mouse key down and
watch the prices change on the pump display.

Pressing F2 takes you to the pump till. Pressing the illuminated key 3
on the till, shows you how many litres have been pumped, the price per
litre and the cost of petrol used. To reset the pump, press till 3's
green button.

Repairing a broken pump

Press F8 and you are taken to a red pump. Click on the green strip to
pump some petrol. Return to the till (F2) and you will number eight
key illuminated on the till. Press number eight and you will see the
display fails to register any information on this pump. To repair the
pump, press F8. Click on the pump's black display frame and open up to
see a flashing light on its circuit board. To simulate a replacement
of the circuit board, click on it to stop the red light flashing.
Click on the pump’s frame to close it. If you return to the till (F2)
and press number eight, the information from the pump appears.

Security camera

Press F5 gives you the security camera viewpoint displayed on a PC and
F9 shows you the cameras.

THE STREET VIRTUAL WORLD

The street is a reconstruction of an imaginary traffic accident. Press
enter to start the scene. You can visualise the accident from
different viewpoints.
