Awarded the Sept-Oct '92 Shareware Magazine Editor's Choice Award,      
WOLFENSTEIN 3-D is a game you'll want to get if you enjoy action with   
superb graphics.                                                        
                                                                        
The setting is World War II, and you're a commando who has been         
captured. You're held prisoner in the Nazi stronghold, Castle           
Wolfenstein. You're a valuable prisoner, however, so you aren't kept on 
the main floor, but eight levels down! To escape, you'll need to get    
past lots of obstacles. (The number of obstacles you must conquer       
depends on which of the four difficulty levels you choose.) The levels  
are appropriately named Can I Play, Daddy? (very easy), Please Don't    
Hurt Me (moderate), Bring 'Em On (difficult), and I Am Death Incarnate  
(very difficult).                                                       
                                                                        
You begin your escape attempt, with your health at 100 percent, and     
armed with a knife and a pistol containing eight shots (you will,       
however, be able to get more weapons from guards or in certain rooms.)  
Once you leave your cell, you have to get past the guards, navigating   
your way through maze-like corridors to find the elevator to the next   
level up. The guards are armed with pistols, machine guns, and guard    
dogs, and can rapidly deplete your health if you aren't fast.           
                                                                        
What separates this arcade game from others are its amazing features.   
WOLFENSTEIN 3-D is unpredictable. The actions of the game characters    
change as you change what you do, and sometimes they'll change even if  
you do every single thing the same. It's also very realistic. Your eyes 
are the eyes of the commando and you are in a three-dimensional setting 
that is so realistic you'll get dizzy if you turn around too quickly.   
AdLib and SoundBlaster sound cards are supported, in addition to the PC 
speaker, making the sound effects amazing.                              
                                                                        
All these features make WOLFENSTEIN 3-D exciting and full of surprises; 
its built-in intelligence addictive and challenging. This shareware game
will be sure to wake up the retail world and keep shareware gamers up
