The documentation for Calendar Mate is in CAL4DOCS.EXE, a self extracting
file. The documentation files take approximately 100K of disk space. To
get access to the documentation, type in CAL4DOCS

To install Calendar Mate on a floppy disk system:

1) Copy the contents of the distribution diskette to a fresh diskette.
Put the distribution diskette in the A drive, a fresh diskette in
the B drive (if you have one) and type in

   DISKCOPY A: B:

If you only have one floppy drive, you will be prompted to switch
disks periodically. Remember that the 'source disk' is the CALENDAR
MATE distribution diskette and the 'target disk' is the fresh diskette.

2) In order to save disk space, the documentation has been compressed.
If you have 360K diskettes, you'll have to copy the documentation file

If you're using 720K disks or higher, you don't have to copy the docs

3) Run the setup program to choose the appropriate print driver,

the newly copied diskette in the A drive and type in

If you are migrating from a 4.x version of Calendar Mate, you simply
have to rename your parms file and help file as follows:

RENAME CALHELP.DAT *.CH4
RENAME CALPARM.DAT *.CP4

Also, copy all the print drivers from the distribution disk and the
calendar program:

COPY A:*.PRD
COPY A:CALENDAR.EXE

From now on, the file extension of the Calendar Mate files will reflect
the release number.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

If you are currently running an earlier version of Calendar Mate,
please note that the format of everything has changed; the event
file, the parms file and the print drivers are all incompatible
with different versions and you MUST run SETUP to convert the
data files.

When you run SETUP, it is absolutely CRUCIAL that you are in the
same subdirectory as all the other CALENDAR MATE files otherwise
unpredictable results will occur.

After SETUP has executed, type in CALENDAR to start Calendar Mate.
