Line Select start position with cursor device then press L. Then select the line type: (Dotted, Lines or Solid). "Lines" are three parallel lines with increasing separation. ("Solid" or "Dotted" can vary in thickness. Solid is the default.) Now select the line thickness from the window menu. (The line thickness ranges from 1 pixel to 10 pixels.) The previously selected line thickness will be indicated in [ ]. To continue with this line thickness just press . If "lines" is selected, the line being drawn is "elastic" and its length and direction can be rapidly altered using the arrow and increment keys (0-9). When the required end point is located, press SPACEBAR. Continue drawing the line from this point. If "solid" is selected, line drawing is restricted to vertical and horizontal lines unless the line thickness is 1 pixel. However the length of the current solid line is "elastic" and may be varied with the cursor keys. The line may be turned on and off by using the "/" key as a toggle switch. When line drawing is ON, the indicator at the top is: "ON-off" When line drawing is switched OFF, the indicator is: "on-OFF" In this mode, the cursor may be moved to any location on the screen. To restart line drawing, press the "/" key. To force the line to remain on the screen press the "+" key. To revert to an elastic line press the "-" key. At any time the colour may be changed using the ALT/Colour keys. When all lines have been drawn, press Esc to return to the Draw menu. Pressing UNDO key will remove the last line drawn. March 07, 1987
