        PATCH allows viewing and modification of disk files and memory. The 
        program displays the contents of a file, 256 bytes at a time, and 
        allows you to move around in the file, modify its contents, cancel 
        modifications, and search through the file for specified strings. The 
        contents of the file are displayed in both ASCII and hexadecimal, and 
        searches and modifications may be made in either format.

Version 1.6 of PATCH removes the request for a subscription fee.
Version 1.5 of PATCH contains changes which remove earlier limitations on the 
size of the patch file and which fix a bug, introduced in version 1.4, that
caused a fatal error when moving to the end of certain files.
Version 1.4 of PATCH uses a more efficient searching algorithm than version 1.3.
Version 1.3 of PATCH is the initial released version.
