                SOOTHSAYER -- IMPORTANT NOTICE

The enclosed diskette contains the file SOOTH.ARC. This is an archive file
containing "crunched" files. That means the files have been made smaller
using a special archiving process so that they could all be included on a
single disk. To "uncrunch" them, you need to use the file ARCE.COM, which
is also included. Follow these instructions to uncrunch your files:

FIRST, MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF YOUR DISTRIBUTION DISKETTE. Put the original
in a safe place and use the backup for your work.

1. IF YOU ARE USING A 2-FLOPPY SYSTEM: Start from the A> prompt, with the
master diskette in the A drive. Be prepared with TWO blank, formatted
diskettes. Enter the following command: DOTWO

Follow the instructions on screen, which will tell you when to insert your
diskettes into drive B.

2. IF YOU ARE USING A HARD DISK: Make sure you are using the subdirectory
where you want these files to be placed. Start from the A> prompt, with the
distribution diskette in the A drive. Enter the following command:
ARCE SOOTH.ARC C:\SUBDIR /R

Instead of "SUBDIR", type the actual name of the subdirectory you want to
use. The program will now uncrunch all files and place them on your hard
disk.

3. MANUAL: This is contained in the program SOOTHDOC.COM. Simply enter the
command: SOOTHDOC

You can use the cursor keys to move through the document, or <ALT><H> to
print it.

4. STARTING: To run TAROT (disk #1 for dual-floppy users), start from the
prompt and enter this command: TAROT

To run I CHING (disk #2 for dual-floppy users), start from the prompt and
enter this command: ICHING

If you have questions, comments, compliments or complaints, please call or
write.

Have fun!
