PC-HAM 3.0 READ.ME

The Files on this disk are stored in archive format to pack a lot of data into
a 360k floppy  disk.  The program PKX35A35.EXE is  a shareware archive utility
supplied on this disk in case you  do  not  have a copy of it.  It has nothing
to do with PC-HAM.

Copy PKX35A35.EXE  to a clean floppy  or to a hard  disk and run it (by typing
PKX35A35 ).  Read the instructions that come  in  the file  PKXARC.DOC.  Next,
copy the archive file you wish to extract to a hard disk or to  a clean floppy
and un-arc it using PKXARC.

From there on, follow the instructions in the individual DOC files.

The logbook package has been upgraded and converted to dBASE3.

IF YOU ARE UPGRADING FROM PC-HAM 2.25 OR EARLIER RELEASES.

     If you have dBASE2 format log files from previous versions of the LOGBOOK
     package, and don't know how to convert them to dBASE3 format, if you will
     send me  them on  a floppy (in DBF or  arc'd  if  too  big for a floppy),
     together with an sase and your registration form,  I'll convert them  for
     you and make sure they work.

     Previous CONTEST LOG files are not compatable with this version.
