PART C. Create EDDIE and PETE work disks. 1. You first need to format two blank disks with the system and Basic on them OR make a subdirectory [MD ABC] on a hard disk and copy BASIC.COM and COMMAND.COM into it, change to the ABC directory, enter A:GET EDDIE and A:GET PETE [and press enter after each]. To prepare two floppy disks, put your DOS System disk in drive A, the first blank disk in drive B, then enter FORMAT B:/S [and press enter]. Press a key when prompted and wait. When complete respond to `format another?' with Y and put the second blank disk in B and wait. When complete type N. Then enter B: [and press enter] and COPY A:BASIC.COM [and press enter]. Repeat the copy to put Basic on the first disk as well. 2. Label one disk EDDIE WORK DISK and the other disk PETE WORK DISK. 3. Put EDDIE WORK DISK in drive B and DISK 1 in drive A and enter: A:GET EDDIE [and press enter] Put PETE WORK DISK in drive B and leave DISK 1 in A and enter: A:GET PETE [and press enter] Enter A: [and press enter].
